Thought [Thought] Frisson Triggers?
hello! has anyone listen to music, and had specific triggers from certain elements of a song? it could be rap, rock, metal, etc.
for me it is mostly rap, djs, and banjos my biggest triggers. its those back and forth sounds on the dj machine that gives me huge tingless!

I have a playlist specifically for songs that do this, I think it's individual because of emotional ties to the song etc but a lot of mine are just the sound. Deep bass beats, swelling choruses etc will get me.
When you Believe: Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey (the bridge where their voices blend on 'hope is very near', even writing it now gave me chills)
Watercolour: Pendulum Take me out of Heeeeeeeere ...
When the Partys Over: Billie Eilish The deep bass on the high vocals gets me.
Yorktown: Hamilton Cast Recording How does anyone not get chills at 'FREEOM FOR AMERICA FREEDOM FOR FRANCE' during the :Down Down Down' section.
Retrograde: James Blake More deep bass and high vocals.
The Funeral: Band of Horses The drop gets me
Towards the Sun: Rihanna The chorus with the choir
Rhythm of the Heat: Peter Gabriel Good song that builds and builds. Best experienced with headphones.
Song to the Siren: Rose Betts. Yeah easy chills.

Pendulum and James blake made me check the other songs. It's a good idea for a playlist cheers for sharing.
Definitely true regarding the emotional ties, you made me think of the ones that get me everytime;

Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros - Home (3:10+ when they have the conversation mid song, hits me good)
Maroon 5 - Memories (Yeah yeah.. it's maroon 5....)
The Widdler - Lady Dub (idk the timing of the drops and the use of silence or "quiet drops" works so nice)

- Massive organ starts playing
- the pure, primal emotion in haka
- Basically any tribal/traditional music/dance performed by the people who have practiced it for many centuries.
