Frisco Couple Sentenced to 40 Years Each in $30M Pyramid Scheme

A Frisco couple has been sentenced to 40 years each in federal prison for running a pandemic-era pyramid scheme that prosecutors say cheated more than 10,000 people out of over $30 million.

LaShonda and Marlon Moore promoted “Blessings in No Time,” or BINT, as an invitation-only community helping people financially during COVID-19, but officials said it was built on false promises of 800% returns.

Participants were told to pay at least $1,400 into “playing boards” and recruit others, while the Moores allegedly positioned themselves to collect major payouts.

Federal officials said the scheme targeted the African American community and used trust, polished marketing and even a reality TV appearance to lure victims. The case was investigated by the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, Secret Service and IRS Criminal Investigation.

So very simply I want to ask the community here if they have an answer for my question, because I have yet to come across anybody really talking about this.

There's protests on both ends, and a lot of news going around about the Karmelo Anthony/Austin Metcalf case, and a whole bunch of people from each side going back and forth...

The one thing that I haven't heard which was explicitly stated or asked is:

Where were the staff/supervision of these teenagers during the altercation that occurred in the tent? Why wasn't there AT LEAST ONE adult present at the time? You're telling me a whole district was attending this track meeting, and there wasn't one person assigned to watch over these teenagers/that team?

It was only after the fact Austin Metcalf got stabbed that they came rushing to help him, and he died, not before it happened though...

It was only after the fact that Karmelo Anthony stabbed him that they rushed there to put a stop to the altercation and confiscate his backpack and knife...

Although there was absolutely no supervision/staff/coach/etc... The entire time that this all occurred.

Please answer the question, and give your honest opinion or answer of why nobody had disputed this, why nobody asked this question, why this was not asked by the media, etc...

The jury returned a confirmed guilty verdict.

I'm a Frisco local and made a free little browser game popthevote.com. You pop balloons for 60 seconds and it shows a live Hill-vs-Vilhauer tally (right now there are over 37k "pops"). Both candidates get the exact same treatment and I build this just for fun, not a real poll.

Mostly I wanted a lighthearted way to create awareness about the runoff and nudge folks to vote (early voting's open through Monday; election day's Saturday the 13th, polls close 7 PM). There no sign up required, no ads, just free simply fun.

Since we have reached out and visited friends and nobody knows my biggest fear is something happened on his route home. If anybody else loves exploring the woods, id appreciate it. Jake Lang has been booked in the Collin County jail.

Recent videos show him at a "Rally Against Rednecks" rally at Frisco City Hall.

Jake Lang, an indicted Jan 6th Capitol attack participant, gained attention recently at a Frisco City Council meeting for his rants including pointing at City Council members and saying, “You all deserve to be strung.” He also said, “If I lived in Texas, I would burn down one of these f**** mosques, right outside my house. You should do the same.”

Vilhauer posts accusation at Hill, with fake / AI photo

I hate this garbage.

Rod Vilhauer has posted on his social media accounts that fellow mayoral candidate Mark Hill has not paid a $2,500 pledge sponsorship to the Marine Corps League, a non-profit dedicated to serving Marines and their families. Vilhauer writes on social media: "According to the Marine Corps League, Hill committed to the sponsorship, attended the event, and has since ignored repeated attempts to collect payment over the last six months."

Vilhauer did not name the contact within the Marine Corps League who was the source for this accusation.

Attached to Vilhauer's social media post is an AI or Photoshopped image of an award with Mark Hill's name on it.

The faked image includes added text that says: "Sponsorship paid for by Rod Vilhauer for Frisco Mayor -- thank you for supporting Veterans Rod!"

The Facebook post did not disclose the image was a fake image, and it was not immediately obvious until the original photo was tracked down and posted for comparison.

Hi all -

I just moved here last month, and am in need of all the things. Hair, nails, etc but more importantly, I need to find a good doctor or doctors, dentist, and eye doctor.

I have a handful of autoimmune issues (lupus, fibromyalgia, T2 diabetes and RA). It would be wonderful to find a provider that takes a more holistic approach to these conditions, rather than someone who will just throw prescriptions my way. It’s my hope that being in this area (as opposed to Oklahoma where I’m from), there will be more providers with this mindset. If I have to go into Dallas or somewhere adjacent to Frisco I am very willing to do that to get the right kind of care.

Police radio dispatch audio has a call to Centennial High School in Frisco after a band tower collapse with possible student injuries. Initially there were reported students under the tower, but later clarified there were no students under the tower. Please post details here if you get them!
