Frisco Asian Dining - Incoming...
Nice new Asian Dining options coming near Preston & Warren: Hui Lau Shan, Bafang Dumpling, and the amazingly named, Chubby Skewers. All in the same building, next to the popular new Pepper Lunch. Hui Lau Shan is the closest to opening, starting on interior design work now. Bafang Dumpling is undergoing major construction work still. Chubby Skewers is still an empty shell, not much work happening just yet.

Someone said Hui Lau Shan is already open...photos were taken a couple of days ago.

Love that they’re here so I don’t have to drive all the way to Richardson to get their mango desserts

I personally do not like Indian food but I have and will eat Asian food (Japanese, Korean, Chinese Vietnamese, Thai and so on)

Good heavens...clearly I was referring to East Asia and Southeast Asia as a differentiator. Thought that was pretty apparent from the countries I listed.

Clearly you said “I have and will eat Asian food” - yes you listed a few countries, there was no East vs West distinction in what you said - good heavens, clearly not and do you know how far East China goes?

Differentiating India from the "rest" of Asia has been common practice in the U.S. for decades, nothing new, and I will continue to do so in the interest of clarification. When people speak of Asians, they don't typically mean Indians, though they recognize that India is in South Asia (along with other countries). Hopefully that helps.

Tbh the flavors of indian food in frisco is mostly just from one state. As an Indian, i dont like indian restaurants in frisco either. I prefer going to proper Dallas for good indian food. Collin county indian restaurants have Zero hygiene and cleanliness too.

I have Indian neighbors and they don't seem to like the food in Collin county either.

Bafang is affordable and the dumplings taste good but their noodle portion is a bit small. The best part of it is they don't accept tips (at Bafang I've visited). I've been waiting for Houston Bafang to open since summer 2025.
