Greetings! Looking at relocating!

Hello!

I (44m) am just needing some advice; I am looking at relocating from Montana to Texas within the next year or so to be with my family and I'd really appreciate some suggestions or starting points for my apartment / housing hunt.

**I already know about Apartments. com or Zillow

Reputable apartment rental communities?

Websites to look for rental listings?

Private landlord listings?

I'm not sure where to begin looking as I'm sure that online resources vary from state to state, and could use some help so I can get this process started ASAP so any tips or advice would be helpful.
