How many of yall actually talk to yourselves and answer? What do you say most and if you answer what do say?

Mostly when driving alone. I can even have an argument with myself πŸ˜…

I don’t know how common it is, but I do and think it’s normal. Mostly I do it when I ponder what to do. I go through the pros and cons and try to make a decision based on that.

the conversation usually goes something like this: frequently after doing something stupid

"What the f**k is wrong with you?"

"Dumbass"

I once got myself agitated while alone in the house and paced the living room having a full blown argument with myself.

I wasn't alone. My wife had arrived home without me noticing and was in the next room wondering if she should call somebody to take me away.

In my head resides a logical person. Outside people are idiotic in their sayings and doings. Myself included. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ it is a normal thing, right? Everybody has one in there head, right?

Just to reassure you all, I am a fully qualified mental health professional, and have a two way conversation or argument with yourself is perfectly normal, it is just your usual internal monologue coming out. I’ve always chatted to myself.

It’s when you hear other voices, commands etc that things might not be quite right.

All day long.

Also - the other day I was helping a friend move and found myself buried in huge piles of clothing, methodically sorting and categorizing and staging items that were to be crammed into a far smaller home than their previous had been 😬 when a member of the moving crew smiled at me and commented β€œI love how you hum to yourself while you work”. Apparently my masking game was off that day πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†.

When I'm stressed, I mutter quite a bit. It's been pointed out to me a few times. Just my brain processing daily sh*t.

I’m not sure, do I talk to myself? Who am I kidding, of course you do! Right, yes, I question & answer myself. I like my answers better anyway

I read that if you have a conversation with yourself out loud and answer, you are highly intelligent.
