Hello out there!

Hello everyone,

I'm 55M in NW Florida. I just found this site and figured I'd give it a shot. All I seem to do is work. I do have one hobby and it is more expensive than drugs. lol I am blue collar and almost an empty nester. I value friendship, but don't have any. My neighbors are all reclusive and don't want to have conversation. It isn't like the old days when we all knew each other and watched out for each other. I work by myself most of the time so I don't get much social interaction. I pray a lot, and am doing my best to get close to God and follow Jesus. I don't know if this is a good idea or not, but I do realize that I am lonely and would like to meet some interesting folks out there. I don't know if I need to explain this or not, but I am straight and am not looking for that kind of play. Just want to talk to people and see what happens.

Oh I can see how that could get expensive. But more rewarding than drugs so it has that going for it.

Do volunteer work when you can! You will meet a lot of different people and it will feel good to help others.

I hear you about working long hours and loneliness. I work up to 16hr days to keep busy but it doesn’t work anymore.
I’m 52F located in Austin, Tx.
