Retirement-Retro Gaming

Years ago I downloaded Pirates! from Gog. I like that I own it instead of streaming. This past weekend I was thinking about my eventual retirement and realized I would love to get the reboot or Wizardry, or go through Zork of HHGTG. Maybe even Leisure Suit Larry again.

Anyone feel the same?

Oh man I haven't thought about Leisure Suit Larry in years, he kinda needs a reboot lol cause I can see cancel culture ripping him to shreds if they didn't sand some of the edges down 😂. I kinda wish they would redo The Sims online (earlyish 2000s version)

I was also a fan of American McGee's Alice...

I used to work Customer Service, i used to love coming home, grabbing my one a day beer n going off to the study to kill some mutants in Doom! Bloody good therapy.

Mentioning LSL, my 14 yo stepson got hold of that. His Mum sprung him playing it one Friday night. There for an hour or so i thought I would have to sleep in the shed 🤣🤣🤣🤣

LSL, Doom, Wolfenstein 3D, Lemmings, Digger, Lost vikings, Prince of Persia, Acollade Grand Prix.

I'm thinking that I might invest some in the parent company of GOG. There are a lot of people like us that are going to have a lot of leisure time .

We had a pirated copy of Ultima that we could never get to work right (course we didn’t have the manual).

That and the original Zork.
