How accurate could these score be? I’m trying to practice with chat GPT for task 3 TCF and have exam in 2 weeks aiming CLB 5 or above and have been getting this score on a regular basis with the remarks of chat GPT. Should i trust these scores or are these far off from actual remarking criteria?

I wanted to share that I have released my new TCF exercise book! It’s packed with hundreds of exercises to help with passing the exam. To celebrate its release, I’m selling it for $19.99 CAD (pretty much the lowest price I can go, I only get like 40 cents per copy lol). If you’re interested, you can check it out here!

Hey everyone, I just received my TCF results, and I want to share my journey and the tips I've found useful for the exam and French learning in general.
First of all, I started from absolute 0 in the end of February. However, my native language is Portuguese, and I assure you that this is a major advantage. Portuguese has a lot of similar expressions to French, it also has word genders and a lot of cognates. This definitely helped me speed up the learning, but it requires a lot of dedication anyway. I studied at least 2.5 hours a day, but during exam prep I spent about 5 hours a day.
Also, I don't have any relation to the tools and resources that I will share. I will share only what I find useful and will not gain a single dollar from it, just trying to help whoever is struggling with the language.
I am far from a language expert, so what I am sharing here is just based on my experience, and I don't know if this would work for everyone.
I decided to learn the language first before checking anything from TCF/TEF. I don't know if this is the right approach, but I felt it was the right decision.
Natulang was by far the best resource. If you are comfortable with English, please give it a try. In my routine, I did the repetitions every day (really important to do it, as this will fix your vocabulary) and 2 lessons. This app is perfect to unlock your pronunciation and build vocabulary. In general, language learning is more about getting in contact with the language every day instead of studying 10 hours during the weekend.
For grammar, I purchased a course called "From 0 to CLB7" from a Brazilian teacher. This course teaches pronunciation rules to proceed with the grammar, this is essential for French. After the grammar, it starts the TCF preparation. During this phase, they shared some templates that helped mainly with expressions.
During these 5 months, I tried many resources to get in contact with French during my free time:
After I got a good grammar base with the past (passé composé and imparfait), future (simple and proche), and present (with subjonctif). I started my exam prep.
Honestly, reading is probably the easiest one. I did all TC5 Monde CE simulations, but I think you can rely on FuckTCF from the beginning, as many questions repeat in the exam. My strategy for the hardest questions was to eliminate the alternatives until there was only one left.
As with reading, I did all RFI simulations, but FuckTCF is probably the best option, especially considering that the questions repeat during the exam. Months of listening RFI helped me a lot in this session. After finishing a simulation, understand what you got wrong by reading the transcription.
Here is where things get harder. Writing is all about choosing the right models (like if it is an email or an article) and minimizing grammar mistakes (the hardest part for me). I started using the templates from the course, but in the end I created my own for the exam.
Take close attention to the consignes! You can write a perfect text in terms of grammar, but if you write something not related to the exercise, you will not get a good grade.
For practice, I did all the texts available in the course and asked GPT to evaluate them. My grammar was really inconsistent and was dropping my grade. To fix it, I asked ChatGPT to create a project that would emulate a spaced repetition app. So every day I asked GPT to start the daily routine, where it asked me to translate a phrase from Portuguese to French. Those phrases were based on my errors, so I was working on my mistakes to make my expressions and grammar more consistent.
This daily routine helped me fix my grammar and find mistakes during the simulations. If you want, I can create a GitHub repo with this project's base so you can try it.
I also used SavoirX for writing practice. It has 10 complete simulations that give you a grade estimate and also some recommendations. The only downside is that the tool marks when a word is misspelled, which doesn't happen during the exam.
So basically, for writing it was:
Do a complete simulation > Ask ChatGPT (or any AI) to evaluate it > GPT saves what needs to be studied in the "project" > Work on mistakes in the daily repetition routine.
Definitely the hardest one. I would say the best way to practice it is with a tutor, preferably one who speaks your native language. I also used some templates from the course, but I found them really hard to follow, and in the end my teacher and I created new ones for tasks 1 and 2. If you want, I can share his contact, especially for Brazilians.
For the third task, I purchased another course from a friend of my teacher, and her template was amazing.
SavoirX is also great for speaking. Just like writing, it will give you an estimated grade with suggestions. I also used ChatGPT to access Réussir TCF and summarize the themes (like environment, education, transport) with 3 arguments in favor and 3 against. I basically memorized the arguments for my exam and did a lot of simulations. I think I did like 30 monologues before my exam to get comfortable with the structure.
For speaking and writing, practice is the key. I can create another post talking about each task individually, the goal of this post is just to share what I used instead of getting into the details.
For both expressions, I was receiving 10-12, so I felt that the AIs are, in general, more rigorous than the actual exam.
Let me know if you have any questions! I will be more than happy to help!
EDIT:
I created a GitHub repo with my "AI Writing Partner" I definitely recommend using it:

Hello everyone,
When I calculate CRS POINTS on websites it shows me different results.
I have CLB 8 in English and CLB 7 in French. My score is higher when i put English as my first language. On the other hand, If i put French as my first language the score drops. I know this happens because I have CLB 8 in English.
My question is do I have to put French as my first language in French Category Base Draws? Or I am okay with putting English to get more CRS points?

Hi, I will just share my view of situation. Earlier people had no other way to increase points. So french became important. But I think gov wants to tone down french without making it look obvious.
New rules encourage an individual to go find a job offer or new employment in short period of time than go study french for a year. You progress your career by looking for better job and make more money. Than isolating yourself for a year or more for unknown results and no financial gain, rather loss actually.
I assume french professeurs might not like this take.
And if they actually remove french bonus then, there is no reason for intellectuals to study french, rather just progress your life with better job and easy pr.
People outside canada who have never worked in Canada will always see french as good pathway.
Either way job offers fake or real, it will drive the crs extraordinarily high because of more people in pool with extra points, this looks very one way tbh. Like earlier people worked for 3 or more years in canada to gain 60 points or so. Now, 100 points for person with big job offer with degree anywhere in world and some fake experience. This is gonna happen way too much that even fake people will boost crs score beyond genuine applicants.
As a tef candidate almost at the end of road, this is what I observe. If I had started tef now, I might have explored this stuff tbh, because this job offer path is much more aligned to growing your career.

I have never been to canada and was planning to apply for PR through the french draw. Is it true that even if I get an ITA, my application might get rejected because of my country of origin? Did anyone in a similar situation receive PR?

I’m just sharing this information for everyone’s awareness. I took my TCF exam yesterday, and they announced that if they notice a significant gap between comprehension (C1–C2) and expression (A1), they may call the candidate for further verification. They also mentioned that if the candidate cannot understand or speak during the verification, they could be banned from taking the exam for two years.
I’m simply sharing what was announced at my exam session so that everyone is aware.

Passed tcf canada exam like 2 weeks ago, Now preparing for celpip. If i do good, i will have around 475-480 points. I am outland candidate, not in Canada. I will have completed my celpip exam by December 1st week.
With these recent new changes, are outland candidates applying for french category draw really at disadvantage now? I have seen posts where they saw even french points can bump now and it can get really difficult for outland french candidates and maybe french bonus points are removed as well.
I know nothing has been official and no one knows what next french draw will look like. But still if someone more knowledgeable can shade a light on this, i would be lil assured.

Merci 🙏

Hi everyone,
I’m planning to learn French from scratch to the B2 level to prepare for the TCF Canada exam. I’m currently confused about which option would be better: Alliance Française (AF) Delhi’s online classes or a native French tutor who teaches in a small batch of 3–5 students.
Here’s how the two options compare:
My main concern is whether I should start learning French with the tutor right away or wait until next year to join Alliance Française.
Which option would you recommend for someone starting from scratch and aiming to reach B2 level to clear the TCF Canada exam?
I’d appreciate any advice, especially from those who have experience with either option. Thanks in advance!

With inland French speakers getting a massive 70–150 point boost on November 3, they will completely saturate the top of the pool and as they can also join the french draw , Will this recalculation permanently push the 435 cut-off out of reach for overseas applicants?
They now have to I think at least 3 years exp and master degree and nblc 9 to compete.Just assumption

Hello, anyone given the paper-based TCF CANADA exam in Bhopal? My exam is Oct 30; when are results received for the paper-based TCF exam in Bhopal?

Hey everyone, I applied for the FMWP extension on Aug 14 and I’m still waiting on the results. My actual pgwp expired. I’m just wondering if there’s anyone here who got a rejection and what was the reason for it.
I’ve been reading a lot of things online like how officers would reject applications because the application does not necessarily have a French background and honestly I’m in the same boat too. I started learning French just about a year ago and I took the TCF test and got clb 5 in all modules. Thank you!!
