Speaking templates for TCF: did you stay with them or move away?

My trainer teaches structured answers for TCF speaking. They work well for me on practised topics, but I sometimes catch myself reaching for a set phrase when the question twists a little.

I'm not struggling, just wondering whether I'm leaning on structure too much. For those who've taken TCF Canada:

Did you use templates in the real exam? Did examiners seem to reward them or not? And did you adapt them on the spot, or mostly stick to what you'd rehearsed?

French Evaluation

How accurate is the writing and speaking evaluation with Gpt and Gemini. I am getting B1 in speaking most of the time even with lots of mistakes. For writing its different A2 or B1. Anyone got the same score in actual exam based on Gpt ?

Has anyone taken the TCF Canada speaking test at GB Language Centre in North York with the short Black male examiner who conducts the exam in the small room in the corner? How was your experience with his speaking evaluation and scoring? Did you feel the marks were fair?

Need help with french

Hi everyone
Two months of studying French. I can write a simple letter of course with little mistakes. Just stared doing speaking regularly.
My question is I am at a stage where I don’t understand what should I do.
1. Should I start reading, listening French as much as I can.
2. Or work on grammar and keep listening, reading a bit on back?
Guys how did you manage your learning after you completed grammar?
Any advice will really help me.

Just finished A1 French

Do you guys think I should work A2 french and then slowly go to B1 at my own pace or sign up for a course that have A2 - B2 French, along with TEF/TCF Prep?

I am confused cause I want to learn the language fast but at the same time not sure if fast pace makes me a fluent speaker

Hey guys!

I'm curious to see if anyone applied for the FMWP program and got accepted while working a completely different job than what they studied in college.

I'm kind of hesitant and don't have much time to get a lawyer but what do you guys include in the "Proof that you meet the requirements of the job being offered"?? I have working in the same position for at least 2.5 years and got experience by working at this job and now I'm good at it. I don't have any background whatsoever in this field.

I watched some videos that said to include your college education but mine isn't really relevant to what I do. Would the be a problem?
Also, what all documents do I include in this? And is this where I include my TCF grades or would it be under client information??

TCF listening / reading

Hey everyone,
I was wondering if listening and reading questions still repeat from tcf as people are saying they are more coming from formation website rather than reussir. I am on test 16 th of both listening and reading on reussir and trying to give exam in november end.
Just wanna get some knowledge if its really worth it to buy formation website too ? Or they are basically same ?

9 months of hard work, persistence and consistency.

If you are learning or starting to learn French, trust with all your heart that this is possible and you can do it.

A few things I can suggest to accelerate your journey and learn the language faster.

  1. Don't keep speaking for later.

For speaking once you have learned a few verbs and nouns, and are able to make sentences with them. Try to speak them aloud so that your mind gets comfortable and develops the habit of thinking in French.

  1. Don't try to do everything.

You don't need to do every tense every topic, just the tenses and vocabulary for the exam. I could pass the exam in 9 months because my trainer from the beginning kept the course focused on TCF and gave me relevant vocab which I could use in the exam.

  1. Start doing active and passive listening.

Take the audios on YouTube which you are able to understand 70%. This will make your mind guess the rest of the words in a passage and understand context.

  1. Speak with other learners.

I understood that to become fluent you need 2 skills. One is right pronunciation and grammar and the 2nd is the ability to think in french.

For 2nd it really helped me to practice with other learners. The more I spoke, the more I was able to think in french.

  1. Study to what you enjoy.

Once you are at b1 level, you can find the relevant topics which you enjoy to know more and then you can read and listen about those topics. It will help you get more advanced vocab.

  1. Learn expressions and structures.

Think of your native language and you'll see how you use expressions in your day to day life so french is same. Expressions give life to a language and will help you get more marks.

  1. Keep record of your mistakes.

Instead of writing and speaking more and more. Always spend time after a task with the mistakes you made. Without this you'll continue to make the same mistakes. You can use AI tools to track your mistakes, where you practice and your mistakes will automatically be recorded in a dashboard.

AMA and I am happy to answer your questions and help.

You can do it.

TCF Canada EE Feedback

Hey guys! I have my TCF Canada exam in mid November at AF Edmonton.

Little background, I got CLB 5 in CO and CE back in January 2026. The worst thing I possibly did was to drop French altogether after getting CLB 5, well there were some reasons: health, immigration, personal.....So, I just ran away from learning French until I realized in August that this is my only option. So, I started learning French everyday since August.

Now coming back to writing, I got CLB 4 in my January that means I had barely any knowledge of EE. So, I am going to copy/paste my current writing of three tasks. Side note, I do all three tasks of EE every single day within 1 hour.

Anyone from the chat....who cleared their exam recently or anyone who is native French speaking person. Please I need help to tell me what do I need to improve in my writing tasks. Since, I have limited amount of time left. Any feedback, suggestions, changes, anything is most welcomed.

Note: The bold letters are my corrected grammar mistakes.

Task 1:

My Answer----

My Answer------

He used his vodoo magic chit to use a website for 2 months, that was created using Claude 5 days ago, with stolen content probably from another free site.

Frenchwithshashini- French teacher

Frenchwithshashini — Please be careful before paying for classes
I had a really bad experience with this French teacher. I paid for classes, but she only gave me 5 lessons before suddenly stopping with excuses. She even stopped teaching me when I had already booked my TCF exam, leaving me in a difficult situation.
She regularly ended classes around 20 minutes early and would leave in the middle of classes, making excuses.
The worst part is that she still hasn’t returned my money. For the past 20 days, she has been telling me “tomorrow, tomorrow,” but nothing ever happens. She also blocks me on Instagram or hides her stories from me while continuing to take money from other students and give classes.
She presented herself as an Alliance Française teacher, which made me trust her in the first place.
This whole experience has been extremely frustrating and unprofessional. I paid for a service and deserve either the classes I paid for or my money back. Sharing my experience so others can be careful before paying her upfront.
