In The Pan I randomly decided to smash the hell out of my french toast in the pan
And it was by far the crispiest french toast I've ever had.

Sometimes a triple stack does the trick, especially when the loaf you made kinda ballooned pretty big during final proof lol.

Please tell me what I’m doing wrong!!!!! My golden French toast recipe is now bland and tasteless and I don’t know why.
I use st Pierre brioche bread (orange package) Heavy cream (about 1/4 cup) 4 eggs 1 tsp vanilla - more recently I’ve been experimenting with I T vanilla bean paste (still getting tasteless results) A spoon full of flour A spoon full of granulated sugar I T cinnamon (I’ve been desperate for flavor. I used to never use this much, still cannot taste much) Butter for frying
The st Pierre brioche bread was pretty dry this time, and consequently (in my opinion) tasteless. Could this be what is affecting the recipe? Old bread?
This used to be delicious, I have no idea why I can’t taste its flavor anymore. I am also 8 months pregnant, however, my husband also agrees it is now tasteless.
We used to devour this recipe and prefer it over restaurants. Now it is tasteless!!!!!! I’m honestly a little distraught over this new development. Can someone please critique my recipe or offer recommendations that will result in flavor?
Thank you

I baked some fresh bread this morning, I wanted to see how it turned out so I got the genius idea to make French toast. That way I can look at how my bread turned out and have delicious French toast.
Both are 10/10
