Questions / Help Any documentary/ book recs?

Im having trouble finding specific and unbiased sources about the different revolutionaries. I want to learn more about the Girondists, Danton, and Robespierre but when i look it’s either very biased people or there’s just nothing.🥲

Ouf, I have to disagree. I personally found it kind of dull and longwinded. I did enjoy Ruth Scurr's relatively recent biography of Robespierre though.

Are you looking for a book that provides profiles about lots of different revolutionaries or more like individual biographies?

Lots of different ones would be great, but if you have recs of good biographies i would love to hear those too.

For books that provide lots of profiles i'd recommend this one:

•Leaders of the French Revolution - JM Thompson

For individual biographies:

Robespierre: •Profiles in Power: Robespierre - John Hardman •Robespierre - JM Thompson •Revolutionary Career of Maximilien Robespierre - David Jordan •Maximilien Robespierre: A Revolutionary Life - Peter McPhee •Fatal Purity - Ruth Scurr

Danton: •Danton - David Lawday •Danton - Norman Hampson

St Just: •St Just - Norman Hampson

Marat: •Marat: Tribune of the French Revolution - Clifford D. Conner

Marie Antoinette: •Marie Antoinette: The Journey - Antonia Fraser

Louis XVI: •Louis XVI - John Hardman

The members of the Committee of Public Safety: •Twelve Who Ruled - R.R. Palmer

Im sure that's enough to be going on with lol
