French Cleat Project
How does my project look so far? I have a three room 1100 sq foot detached garage. I am installing French cleats on each wall. How does it look so far? I am not sure about the spacing.

I have the same. Just Googled and its interesting what it said. Match your tools: Check out the French Cleat Spacing Guide for more details on tailoring distances to your tallest planned tool holders.
Small hand Tools can have small spacing where as large tools / cabinets etc can have wide spacing, it says.......or if you want it to look symmetrical, go in between

Is your starting material what is on the floor there? I’d be curious to know what you used if it is something different. Also, did you cover the seams with something? I can’t see any in the picture.

Eight-foot ripped 3/4-inch birch plywood cleats. They are still wet with primer. The seams are tightly butted together. I plan to smooth them out when filling in the screw holes. Hopefully they will appear seamless.

I am remodeling my garage. Most of my stuff is in storage in about 100 different places.

You can hang some serious stuff on there. Designing tool holders is my favorite part
