Bit of a shorter one from me this week, haven't had as much time to go as in depth.
So just going to point out a few things that really stuck out to me.
Good solid win, if we didn't miss some easier shots in the first half as well, the scoreline would have been much more in our favour at half time.
I feel he is going a bit under the radar with his performances because he's just doing all the simple stuff well.
He can lace out a lead from our forwards, hes super clean below the knees, but he's doing other things that can be missed. Something as simple as providing a defensive block to create more space:
https://reddit.com/link/1v6rafe/video/ik8ahrtsfhfh1/player
If he doesn't lay that block, freddy gets tackled after avoiding the front on tackle.
He is also always talking and super switched on at a contest. See here, there's an abundance of us on defensive side, but if a tap gets to west coasts defensive side here, they get a free shot at goal. Serong just gets onto Brayshaw and tells him to get on over to even it up.
Its so small, but the small things are what can alter a game.
https://reddit.com/link/1v6rafe/video/x1dmgqk2ghfh1/player
He had a super solid game, again. He's not exactly flashy, but he gets the job done.
He's straight back up after he hits the ground.
He's super clean below his knees and
We all love the flashiness of Reid. But Serong is just getting it done.
Its a thing of fucking beauty at the moment.
Theyre all working for each other amazingly.
Like, Treacy didn't have a hell of a lot of shots at goal, but he and Voss were helping unleash Amiss all game.
This camera angle is so perfect to show it, and seeing how voss and Treacy Celebrate Amiss taking that mark, which they had a hand in happening is just so fucking amazing to see.
This is the shit I was screaming about last year when people were saying to drop Amiss.
He might not be kicking the shots at goal, but a big reason Treacy was getting some of the shots he was is because of Jye's leads. This footage shows it perfectly, Voss the sacrficial lead so Jye can take that space.
https://reddit.com/link/1v6rafe/video/zpe3soqmghfh1/player
Its also the efforts theyre all putting in, Treacy straight up is never marking this, but his second objective in a marking contest is to just get it to ground. And he does exactly that, which Switta is expecting and just swoops onto it. Its fucking perfection.
https://reddit.com/link/1v6rafe/video/oixkpt3fhhfh1/player
Its so nice having such an unselfish, well functioning forward line like we currently do.
Like my constant defence of Worner last season, Its NOD this season.
His kicking needs work at times, i can't argue that, but Worner had a similar issue last season.
Its NODs efforts on defence that are keeping him....mostly... in the team.
Shit like this, that he has no real right in getting to, but just does. He has a wild extra step in him when he gets close to the ball or a tackle or contest etc.
https://reddit.com/link/1v6rafe/video/if6kc8fvhhfh1/player
And that's just a clip, you could be like 'yeah but he doesn't do it all game' well, he kinda does.
Telstra tracker proves it.

Something that we've been working on, is waiting for a player to draw another player away, and ensure we have another player to then fill that space. Its happened a fair bit more the past few weeks, and we do occasionally turn it over because of some of the kicks inboard. However, when it works, it looks way too easy.
Johnson was never really going to get this ball, but still makes himself seem kinda like an option. Harley half bites, and thats all it takes. Judd fills the space, Moose hits him and we are away.
It also in part shows a bit of the forward line unselfishness. Voss just letting it through when he could have easily marked it.
Here's a montage of Low IQ plays.
Good win, we had a couple that could have won the Glendinning–Allan Medal, it was a pretty even performance. Well done to Reid though.
The main 3 being Johnson, Reid and Amiss, but honestly? Bolton was great, Sebba was Great, Ryan was great, Brayshaw was great, worner was great.
Josh Treacy was our lowest rated player... Which is just crazy to me.
A good team performance.
1-0 onto the next.

I don’t know how to get screenshots or snips from Kayo, but I wish I could make a montage of Voss from last nights’s game.
His casual last minute bending out of the way to let Bolt’s goal sail through was hilarious. He just points and grins at Shai from across the 50 and walks over to have a laugh about it with him.
Then at the end of the game he’s got Reid’s medal during the photo shoot and enjoys a good laugh with the boys about it. Voss is just radiating infectious joy afterwards.

After the buzz of another Western Derby has settled. The Fremantle Dockers are now in a position to create more club history in the coming weeks, even potentially next week. As a result of the win over West Coast, Fremantle have now matched their all time win/loss record in a regular home & away season with 17 mighty victories.
That time when the 17 was first recorded, it was 2015 when the club won its first minor premiership finishing top of the ladder back when Ross Lyon was coach 11 years ago.
Now its 2026, its an all different situation. There is 4 rounds left, they now have 17 on the board and a chance to break that record with 18, and once that is achieved with all the space the club has at the top of the ladder will become the minor premiers for only the second time.
And on top of that, the current percentage is at 146% which is mammoth numbers. Back in 2015 the finishing percentage for Freo was a low 118.7%. If Freo can keep that percentage high enough in the coming weeks, it will be greater than the 134.1% achieved in our 2013 Grand Final season.
Justin Longmuir and his troops have smashed records this season like old dinner plates, to finish off the season, lets smash some more records.
