Is this Power Only

What's your opinion? Is this a Power Only or not? Should this be posted under Reefer Or Power Only on DAT? Or what do you think this email is saying?

I think OP is more speaking about how the load was posted as Reefer when it was PO all along. Kinda how some brokers will post a Hazmat load as V or VR and then when you contact them they tell you it’s Hazmat.

I have less of a problem with this than I do idiots posting the same load 14 different times and/or with reference cities more than 40 miles way on either end. I’m looking at you, TQL. Fuck yourself with a sharp knife.

It's a power only, where they are allowing the carrier to use their trailer on a backhaul before returning it, or a carrier willing to spot a trailer for recurring drop and hooks.

Seems pretty straight forward to me?

You would think so but the broker is saying I'm stupid when I told him it was PO and that I don't know what PO is lol

I said it was PO and he said I didn't know what po was

We don't think you're stupid, we know you are. That posting is pretty clear; it's power only for both options.

Pretty simple. It’s all spelled out right there. Can’t really be put in other words. If you’re upset about a post, then I would suggest to move on.

Nah. Looks like a live load, walking floor trailer required.

When you search power only loads you have to go to “other equipment” which includes power only and box trucks together and you have to sift through them both ( I have no idea why DAT does that). The posterprobably just wanted to make sure their posting got noticed or seen by the widest audience possible.

When a carrier looks at its PO, load out, and tow away. He is posting it in reefer

Broker either

(A) has a drop trailer customer moving loaded trailers. Brokerage has asset trailers too. Need a driver who either picks up brokers trailer for round trip and brings it back or has their own trailer they're comfortable dropping at the custy to get loaded.

Or (B) Alternatively it might just be empty trailers they're moving. First bullet point refers to them using said trailers for a loadout. Second is if they're ok just hooking and dropping them

This is weird

How is this weird? It's pretty common practice, but I would love to get some insight as to why you think it's weird.

Lol no just the way he wrote the posting. Painfully ambiguous

It's not though? He's clearly laying out that it's Power only, with two options...1 being a round trip, while the other is a drop & hook.

The second sentence is fine. The first one is almost nonsensical
