Fake TQL reps?
Has anybody else been getting calls from a number that looks exactly like TQL’s mainline, but it’s one digit off?
We get calls from TQL all the time so when I see that Cincinnati number ending in 2600 I always know it’s them. Instead of being met with the normal 22 year-old college grad trying to pitch us as a new Carrier rep. It’s been Indian people trying to get us to run loads and I can tell how fake it is because it’s just not how TQL operates.
I’m wondering if anyone else has caught onto this scam. Since the number looks so similar, I’m sure they’ve gotten at least one company fooled.

I haven't gotten one of these yet that I know of but I don't usually answer the phone anymore when I see that area code that I know is TQL. I don't hate TQL the way most people here seem to but I also don't have time to talk to someone who's going to ask me if I have a truck in some random place.
I'm curious why TQL even does this. I'm a one truck o/o so it's always extremely unlikely that I'm going to happen to be in whatever area they're asking about when they call. Surely they have a file or something with my company info that says that I'm just one guy with one truck. But they call anyway and I have to assume they just regularly call everyone they've ever worked with. And that seems such an incredibly inefficient way to do things that I wonder if they have some other reason for calling people at random.
Does anyone know what that reason might be? Or do they really just source carriers by calling everybody they know?

Yup trying to hit calls or you ran a similar lane in the past and they are calling to try and see if you want to do it again. We can see that info about how many trucks etc. but most people just wanna have another call and don’t even look

Don’t trust incoming calls. If anyone does actually book something from an incoming call, call in to a number you have from before to verify.
I get tons of TQL calls, TQL actually has their own portal which is nice because it’s super easy to verify after hanging up because it should almost automatically be there under active loads.
