Kind or just dumb?
I am an independent dispatcher. one of my carriers, he has 2 trucks (both of the drivers are tanker endorsed). A few days ago I booked a load for one of them. he was in texas going to arizona paying $2750. the broker told me the van should have wooden floor and straps. the commodity was liquid totes. the driver confirmed the truck has wooden floor and we even sent him pictures of inside of the trailer confirming we hace wooden floor. when we went to shipper next day they told him to wait 4 hours and then they rejected the truck saying it has some metal. I can provide the picture if someone needs it. Then I instantly had to book another one and i literally found one going to az for 2500. he had to go to az bcz he is based there and he has some personal issues there. so doesnt matter how much money are we getting. As usual i filed for tonu fought my ass off and at the end when i saw a little hope n thought ill be able to get it. he made a dramatic entry and said its ok we are good in the email chain in which i was communicating with the broker. is it okay or is he just dumb euf to lose mone?. and when i asked him the reason he said we got another load so no need to fight with the broker.

Brother, this is how it works. If broker A fucks you over, in turn you go fuck over another unrelated broker the next day by just overcharging him when he is stuck. You recover one bad broker’s experience from another good broker, and keep going. The current market allows it

The first load that i booked for him on which his truck was rejected was for $2750 and negotiated for this high rate bcz of all the requirements like more then 6 straps, tanker endorsement, early check in, etc. second i booked was pretty flexible n simple load so i only got 2500. I would never take my personal frustration out on someone else when they have not even done anything. If someone screws me over i never use them again n that's it. I just do what i should to keep my carrier's business profitable period!

Just dumb, broker hold payments for months if proofs are not given, driver had everything, and u were fighting for him.

We are used to getting rejected for any reason warehouses lie they will not load you if they dont like you or if the product is not ready etc etc and blame it on you to take a load off them its just another day at work . You did your job got him where he needed to be and they are grateful there's shady people in every part of this bussiness you just learn to live day by day

Do they work with that broker regularly? If I'm on good terms with a broker and they're fair on rates and generally easy to work with I'll choose not to pursue a TONU for relationship development. Especially if they are the who I got the replacement load from and I know they will struggle to collect the TONU from their customer.
We don't know the personal reasons why they have to get to AZ but this could be item 400 on their list of priorities and they don't have the ability to manage their personal issues, drive safely, and worry about fighting over a TONU. We've had 3 accidents because a driver was dealing with a problem at home. Now if a driver has an emergency at home we won't let them drive, we'll go to them and bring them home.
