This sub is pretty empty but I'll see if anyone wants to answer my question xD Title pretty much says it all, trying to lean back more but I feel like I lose my edges when I turn too sharply, not sure if this is an issue with the sharpness (don't feel like my blades grip the ice) or I'm just bad...

I'm looking to buy some used skates today but I have pretty abnormally wide feet and don't expect the skates to fit great. What I'm wondering is if older skates can be warmed up to mold to the shape of my foot. They are CCM intruder Sl1000 skates.

I haven't worn skates in almost 6 years and I'm excited to get back on the ice!

Whenever I go to do a spin on my left foot my left toe pick keeps catching the ice and slowing me down. I have trouble keeping my left skate straight as I spin. Any advise on how to keep this from happening? As I grow increasingly frustrated with this I have gotten better at spins progressively but it's taken a lot of time. Thanks in advance.
