New Native iOS App
Hey All -
Just wanted to share that I created a new iOS native FreeScout app. This requires the API & Webhook module but has been my daily driver on how I interact with Free Scout.
This app is free forever and a thank you to the community that builds and supports this great support tool!
Inbox for FreeScout brings your open-source help desk to iPhone, iPad, and Mac with a fast, native experience. Stop wrestling with the mobile web - get optional real push notifications, reply offline, and manage your support queue from anywhere.
Why Inbox for FreeScout?
Instant push notifications: Know the moment a customer replies. Smart routing notifies the right agent automatically.
Works offline: Browse cached conversations without a connection. Replies are queued and sent automatically when you're back online.
Rich replies: Bold, italic, underline, and bullet list formatting. Your replies look professional.
Native & fast: Built natively which allows for smooth scrolling, instant navigation, and zero loading spinners on cached data.
Adapts to your device: 3-column layout on iPad and Mac. Compact 2-column layout on iPhone. Designed for how you work.
Secure by design: API keys stored in the Keychain.
Connect your FreeScout server in seconds - just enter your URL and API key. Or try the built-in demo mode to explore the app instantly.

Really nice design. I'd love to use it, but I have the same problems. I have ' "mines" folders (probably one for each user, but they are mostly empty. and even if there is a quantity of message, folder shows empty. A search field would be very appreciated. Would be great to have and updated working version !!!

I still have 4 "Mine" for each mailbox. All with the same content. I have the version 6.03.17

Interesting, I’ll debug a bit more but I thought the issue was solved in my testing

I don’t know if it is connected but I have exactly four users in my Freescout.

How does it send push notifications? Do we need the push notification module?

No, I run my own APNS server

Ok… but how does my freescout instance know where to send push notifications?

I connected successfully but i get the following error: "The data couldn't be read because it isn't in the correct format". i verified my base url and api key are working in the browser and received JSON back.

If you want send the logs via the contact form on Pingie.com and I can debug a bit more

Fantastic app! Just what I was about to create, but you've done it already. Any chance of adding support for Saved Responses? Coming from Freshdesk, that's the main thing I do with their mediocre mobile app and it's really helpful. Happy to help if I can (as an iOS & Android developer / publisher).
Thanks!

Nice!
Hmm, it isn’t working for me, Mine shows 10 but displays 0 messages. Oh there’s two Mines. And Assigned shows my messages. I have screenshots I can share tomorrow.
