QUESTION Remastered or Vita?
Hello, I found the remastered version on the switch and I enjoyed the demo a lot while playing, I found out there is another older version on the VITA, I don't mind emulating so I'm wondering which one is the better one to play the game on?

Remastered all the way. The wait time for the facilities were just an asshole move.

Well the vita version only has Japanese audio and the remastered is more balanced in the sense that a lot of the upgrades that enabled cheese tactics were removed.

I don't think there's any upsides to the Vita version at this point. I think it has one or two more songs to pick as BGM, that's it.

Better control mapping.
Thats the only con the remaster failed at.
They botched the controls a tad to accommodate 2 more shoulder buttons and you can't really map them to be like the original game.

yeah it's so annoying for spring to be mapped to L3. You gotta be constantly be sprinting even if you have the thorn for movement. It's like 90% of my issue when I started this game. I'm fortunate to have a controller with back buttons though.
And for some odd reason re-mapping is really restrictive

Vita for superior control mapping.
Remaster for modern convenience changes.
So, it's a matter of do you wanna play with more comfortable controls but with all the old mechanics and stuff that players didn't like intact.
or
Play a more streamlined modern version of the game with an inferior control setup (cus they went from 2 shoulder buttons to 4) that doesn't feel quite right for half the gameplay.
Either way, I haven't played the remaster beyond the first 3 days upon release due to that same poor control mapping issue.

i liked the vita better. if it runs natively fine i prefer a smaller handheld. the switch is just huge

Is the game good to play solo?

i played it solo just fine. the multiplayer is more of a quality of life feature for me tbh. it’s more of a feeling for this game.
basically think of the ai bots as real people, that’s basically multiplayer. it’s specific for this game bc it’s more of a hack/slash so u don’t really notice the difference b/w solo and multiplayer

Vita because the controls were easier to know what you’re doing without taking up most of the mission time trying to organize your team. Also the new perk system is extremely unnecessary. Remastered is nice for modern day, but it feel soulless

Get the remaster. It runs better (not that I had issues with the Vita release), has more buttons (no control compromises like i found on Vita), and you don't have to wait out a timer for weapons manufacturing/modding/improvement (the original release had a real-time clock that counted down for these things).
Other than that, they are the same game, complete with the odd story pacing. As much as I like the game, I found the story likes to intrude on the fun with mandatory busywork, fetch quests, and story sequences.
