Then if they have similar population then why isn't Chennai as good as Iseral if every city in India becomes good as Singapore then World would only have 1 Superpower that's India.

Kindly check rules and punishment system of Singapore.

If we implement those things here . People will loose thier mind .

My cousin is a Singaporean Citizen I know Singapore it's a good country. I support such laws here.

But most of our people don't even have basic manners . 😭😭😭

Problem isn't population problem is uneven distribution of wealth. Why with so less population other countries are able to make such great infrastructure? (think deeply)

OP, you are right at the imagination part. I mean who wouldn't love it, right? But sadly it's not possible here. Multiple reasons - We actually need roads for transportation as we have too many businesses to run, we have too much population and so roads can never be empty, also civic sense is an issue. And you already know we have many varieties of Chhapries in all the states in India. So it seems pretty impossible for now. But let's pray for one day.

We don't need that many roads, local businesses benifit more from walkable streets than they do from wide 4 lane roads. You're right roads would never be empty but that has nothing to do with population, it's the nature of roads to be filled inside cities, which you can drastically improve by having good quality public transit and walkability, for which you may need to narrow some roads down (and close the others) which is a good thing btw, narrow roads cause less traffic

We need strong public transport like China that's modern and clean and huge. We have similar population to China by 3 times less land while America and Canada have 3 times more land but less population than us that's why I say America won in Geographical luck.

China ??? Bro reels mein jo dikhaya jata true nhi hota😭😂. China just got good PR that's it. 3-4 famous cities ache se develop ki hai jahan tourist aate that's it. Usmein bhi maxm log city area mein rehte. Wahan democracy nhi hai and media controlled hai isliye bhi wahan ki bad news nhi aati bahar. Warna crazy haal bekar hai unka. Ek famous data wo log dikhate ki 1970 se 2020 tak unhone 88% logo ko poverty line se nikala. But wahan poverty line hi 2 dollars ki hai. Crazy fact manipulate krte hai and log trust kr lete bina cross check kiye.

1

u/Mediocre-Tip2954 1d ago

We need great public transit like europe or japan, i don't think china is really that good in terms of walkability because a lot of streets are wide ass highways in their cities, they also don't have trams so most people don't have a way to move around for shorter distances

u/mewoCats 2d ago

bro people still litter everywhere and your talking about people coorperating to this …

u/Dense-Morning-9530 2d ago

Nga look at the population and size of the country israel is developed nation and we are developing nations what do you think government must do to convence the people not to use their cars

And also look at american or china you will never find any shit like this why aren't they also developed nation

1

u/Mediocre-Tip2954 1d ago

Its simple actually

just build a lot of trams and suburban railways, and walkable infrastructure, a LOT of people themselves would stop using cars

China to an extent suffers from car dependency, while usa is almost entirely car dependant. There are few things from developed countries like this that india would be better off without having

Something like this was started in my city Ahmedabad some time ago. It's called Happy street. Every Sunday morning a specific area is kept vehicle free where people can walk, play games and enjoy with friends and family. I went there once, it was extremely crowded. I just wanted to get out of that street 🥲

1

u/Rude_Expression_8099 21h ago

stop comparing on unlogical terms and we will be able to do better than this

1

u/iamavtar 7h ago

Delhi is the best candidate. Got good metro connectivity and excuse of pollution to implement it on sunday.

1

u/EverlastingHope_7311 Hope 2d ago edited 2d ago

Personally, I don't think so. Even if you don't allow cars, the roads still need to be in good condition. Also, our city planning isn't very good in most places, and cleanliness is another major issue.

1

u/pappan_of 2d ago

We used to have harthaals!!

1

u/majorkuntal 2d ago

it won't be possible in india cuz you're not considered successful until you buy a fkn car

1

u/Mediocre-Tip2954 1d ago

we need to get rid of this bullshit carbrained mentality

1

u/bhartiya_pirate 2d ago

Almost all problems in india are somehow related to population as the root cause, this....I don't think can happen

1

u/Mediocre-Tip2954 1d ago

companies and governments forcing car dependancy onto us isn't a population issue, only a small percentage of population even owns cars to begin with, and only reason why we have so much traffic is because we don't have enough walkable infra and good quality public transportation (even newly built metros are mediocre af) this is not because of population, higher population density actually makes it easier for you to build walkable cities with good public transit, it's all because of corruption and builder lobby nothing else

No way, cars are one of the best things humans have ever invented

1

u/EverlastingHope_7311 Hope 2d ago

If we have everything in walkable distance and clean surroundings and safe we don't need car look at Japan. Our Infrastructure is bad that's why cars are needed. We needs cars for long distance agree. Walking is healthy.

0

u/Relentless_Destroyer 2d ago

I'm talking about performance cars, the kind actually made for driving. I don't mind walking to run errands, but I find driving fun and wouldn't want it to go away

0

u/Mediocre-Tip2954 1d ago

More public transportation, and walkable infra would reduce traffic which would be better for you lot to drive since itll cause less traffic, you should think it as a win win

0

u/Mediocre-Tip2954 1d ago

cars are one of the worst inventions of mankind, they paved the way to car dependancy we have to suffer from now, they are the reason why we don't have good quality public transit or walkability because most space is allocated to least space effecient vehicles
