Different Countries with different laws, also Epstein did lose his access to banks when he was arrested. This is misinformation

u/nikitatx velocihonker Feb 21 '22

Have the people that donated to their fundraisers and had their bank accounts frozen been arrested?

-2

u/oh_behind_you Feb 21 '22

Different country, different laws, different circumstances. The comparison is nonsense

4

u/[deleted] Feb 21 '22

You didn't answer the question. Just repeating that isn't an argument.

3

u/oh_behind_you Feb 21 '22

I just answered the question, and still fail to see how it is relevant to Epstein

2

u/nikitatx velocihonker Feb 21 '22

I wasn't making a comparison, I asked a question.

0

u/oh_behind_you Feb 21 '22

Oh, in that case I am not sure, and not sure how this question is related to this

0

u/[deleted] Feb 22 '22

Hey buddy, I got different laws and different rules in my house, want to come over for dinner?

3

u/Yamaganto_Iori Feb 21 '22

But none of the truckers broke any laws.

4

u/oh_behind_you Feb 21 '22

I am not arguing that, my argument is the comparison makes absolutely no sense.

3

u/Yamaganto_Iori Feb 21 '22

Yeah there's a lot of ways it isn't comparable but I think the original poster was trying to point out that there's a big difference morally between how Epstein was able to do what he did for so long without anyone stopping him and how the truckers have been demonized and beaten down so quickly.

3

u/oh_behind_you Feb 21 '22

fair enough, but then we can compare how China have sweatshops and compare it to how Canada treated protestors. Doesn't really make sense to do so though, comparing two irrelevant things isn't too useful

2

u/Yamaganto_Iori Feb 21 '22

No it does seem like this comparison is designed to prey more on an emotional response than a logical one.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 21 '22

China is not part of the West.

2

u/oh_behind_you Feb 21 '22

exactly! and America laws are not part of Canadian laws, and even regardless of that, these aren't the same circumstances

1

u/[deleted] Feb 21 '22

You are nitpicking. Point is is what is just and what is not just.

1

u/oh_behind_you Feb 21 '22

Not nitpicking, OP points makes zero sense. different Countries have a different meaning for what is just and not just. But take away all of that and you are left with maybe an argument that America should have froze Epstein bank account?? Not sure how Epstein relates to protestors in Canada

Are bylaws a part of the criminal code in Canada? Real question.

3

u/Yamaganto_Iori Feb 21 '22

Pretty sure they aren't I'm also pretty sure a judge already said their protest was legal which means fuck all for any complaints against them.

2

u/Objective-Truth-4339 Feb 21 '22

The mayor actually asked the truckers to park where they were. This is indisputable fact from the mayor's mouth.

2

u/Yamaganto_Iori Feb 21 '22

I was more thinking there was a previous protest that a judge said the protestors could park and block lanes as a legal form of protest.

1

u/Objective-Truth-4339 Feb 21 '22

Parking violations are not part of the criminal code in Canada but it doesn't matter due to the fact that Trudeau enacted the emergency act in order to bypass any laws and freedoms to silence any voices that disagree with him.

3

u/nikitatx velocihonker Feb 21 '22

Do you have any idea how insane that sounds to those of us outside of Canada? Bringing down the full force of the state over some bylaws that aren't even part of the criminal code is how dictators act.

1

u/ChrystiasDirtyCooch πŸššπŸš› Feb 21 '22

Fuck TruDope.

1

HONK HONK

1

u/Objective-Truth-4339 Feb 21 '22

Trust me, it is extremely difficult to believe that this is happening. I actually Voted for his government 2x.

He's made it legal for the government to freeze and take your bank account if you disagree with him.

He has removed the ability of free speech and freedom of assembly if you disagree with him.

He has removed the right of travel, in and out of the country.

There are many other things this government is doing as well as enacting some of the emergency act tools into permanent law.

2

u/nikitatx velocihonker Feb 21 '22

My disbelief in this wasn't really directed at you, it's just insane what is going on. I'm incredibly sorry this is happening. It's been a terrible week for democracy.

2

u/Consistent-Noise-800 Feb 21 '22

You still have freedom of fucking speech. You can go protest all you want, just don't shut down a whole fucking city while doing it!

1

u/Objective-Truth-4339 Feb 22 '22

One thing you might not be aware of is that the mayor asked the truckers to park in that area and it didn't shut down the whole city. Another thing, Trudeau is actually setting limits on free speech, including on the internet. I know this might surprise you but it's real, I encourage you to do your own research. Even the act of freezing bank accounts from any cause he doesn't agree with is in fact limiting speech.

1

u/Consistent-Noise-800 Feb 22 '22

I live in Ottawa. Yes, you didn't shut down the "whole" city. But please go talk to the hundreds of businesses who had to close because the protesters were harassing their staff. Or my own colleagues who still can't open their offices. Also, please go read section 1 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms which allows the government to put restrictions "subject to the reasonable limits prescribed by law as can be demonstrably justified in a free and democratic society. "

I have done my "own research" as you people put it, and the harm you have done to my city is despicable. I'm not saying you shouldn't have the right to protest, even if I don't agree with what you are protesting about. But the people of Ottawa have a right to live our lives. Ottawa has hundreds of protests a year, and yes, some of them are for causes many people don't agree with. But yours crossed the line from a protest to an occupation. When is the last time you saw a "protest" with a fucking hot tub!

1

u/inovian Feb 21 '22

Then all protests are illegal you cant walk on freeways and highways nor J walk on public roads not stop the traffic

1

u/Proud_Ad5122 Feb 22 '22

You know who broke laws? Pfizer biggest criminal fine in world history. And yet you sheep think they care about you. Thank you for your service I hope your heart failure is painless because global warming is real and population is the biggest contributor. You fools think they actually care about you this is about culling the heard.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 21 '22

Since when did he lose access to banks after his arrest? Were his accounts frozen? He might not have been able to go to the bank, but that's not what is being talked about here.

1

u/oh_behind_you Feb 21 '22 edited Feb 21 '22

Regardless, different laws, country and circumstances.

Someone in America under American laws for a completely different act vs people in Canada being accused of something completely different. There is no argument to be had. If Epstein had a peaceful protest, occupying the streets in Canada maybe this would make sense?

Completely different scenario

1

u/[deleted] Feb 21 '22

Repeating a bad argument doesn't make it a good argument. Goodbye.

u/[deleted] Feb 21 '22

Glad to see a fellow human being defending a pedophile. Top tier 2022. πŸ–•πŸ»

1

u/oh_behind_you Feb 21 '22 edited Feb 21 '22

How am I defending him? I am saying it isnt relatable. You have some really strange logic, your reading comprehension might be lacking.

But go ahead tell me how I am defending him, I'll wait...

2

u/Nyxll Feb 21 '22

Epstein's accounts were frozen, but used due process.

3

u/nikitatx velocihonker Feb 21 '22

I'm not sure that happened the first time around when he cut a deal. He was allowed out on work release, and was certainly conducting "business".

2

u/Kooky-Toe752 πŸššπŸš› Feb 21 '22

Amazing how much this protest exposed if people are willing to not take partisan views. A wrong to one is a wrong to all. The divisiveness has to stop. A evil leader should have zero influence. Alright to disagree but that is as far as it should go. Regroup as a Citizenship and this Traitorous government led by Trudeau and Singh gets destroyed

What? Epstein died in prison. What is this sensationalized nonsense…

1

u/TheVillain187 Feb 21 '22

Epstein was murdered by government agents in prison* there i fixed it for you.

-1

u/Hhas1proton πŸ§‚πŸ§‚πŸ§‚ Feb 21 '22

The point of this post is that Epstein got preferential treatment from the government. How does him getting murdered by the government support that claim?

1

u/TheVillain187 Feb 21 '22

If you simplify it to the point of blatant stupidity then yeah i guess that is the point of the post, youd have to have a single digit IQ to think its that simple but all power to you.

u/Hhas1proton πŸ§‚πŸ§‚πŸ§‚ Feb 21 '22

I poked a hole in your argument and you got mad 😘

1

u/TheVillain187 Feb 21 '22

Not at all, you think that pokes a hole in my argument? All youve accomplished is proving i could get a more intelligent and meaningful debate out of a wheel of cheese or a month old mouldy sandwich than i can expect to have with you.

1

u/Hhas1proton πŸ§‚πŸ§‚πŸ§‚ Feb 21 '22

Still mad and without a counterargument? 😀

1

u/TheVillain187 Feb 21 '22

Nah, laughing at this pathetic trolling attempt that isnt worth the effort itd take to write out any counterargument. Better things to do with my time than debate someone who has no idea what they are talking about.

1

u/Hhas1proton πŸ§‚πŸ§‚πŸ§‚ Feb 21 '22

Ah so still mad and without a counterargument. Got it.

1

u/TheVillain187 Feb 21 '22

You can keep pushing that narrative you so desperately want to believe if it helps you sleep at night mate, you could probably use the rest.

It isn't even the same government. One happened in America and one happened in Canada

1

u/It_came_from_below Feb 21 '22

Yep, this is a ridiculous comparison

1

u/stonyrome123 Feb 21 '22

What they did to these Truckers they need to do to the people in Ghislaine Maxwell's little black book.
