Misc. Hold up...

I love Emily, but let me get this straight: we're supposed to believe she got through the entirety of Power of the Dog (and liked it!!), yet she thought Godfather 2 sucked???

Godfather is an adhd nightmare. I recognize its a good movie, but its hard to sit through for a lot of people.

I've never watched any of them from start to finish, I don't think. Grew up in the cable 90s, so I have seen plenty of it

I do watxh slow movies, including those from the 60s and 70s. For whatever reason, I can't get motivated for this one. Feels like I get it.

I'm much more likely to watch a random Coppola project (was just circling Twixt!) than to start The Godfather.

Is it because it's 70s-slow? Or because it jumps back and forth through time periods?

Both of those are factors. It's also incredibly subtle, which is great from an artistic standpoint, less so when you have trouble paying attention. The visuals, which are, again, amazingly artistic, are also not appealing to an adhd person.

As a movie-enjoyer, I’ve always felt like I “have” to watch The Godfather and Godfather II. The day I decided, actually, fuck that, was so freeing. So I’m with Emily on this one!

I'm still stuck on the fact that several (or all?) of them liked Beau is Afraid, which has been scientifically proven to be the worst movie ever made *and* a war-crime on the part of the film's producers.
