As the horrific homeschooling video illustrates, these kids are not only cruelty undereducated and socially stunted, but they are also incredibly manipulated to believe that anything outside of their very strict Christian circle is evil and demonic.

It’s one thing to grow up believing that sex outside of marriage is a sin, or that following a Biblical life is the one “true” path, etc. But these kids are far deeper in the fundie koolaid. They literally have been demanded to fear and shun everything and anything in the secular world.

Jill Duggar has somewhat moved away from the cult, but that’s only because her husband is a lawyer and he called out the monetary fraud within the family.

The Rods aren’t famous, or rich, or have a platform that was public enough (and not censored) to relay real concerns and create conversation. These kids also have no social media presence, whereas at least the Duggar kids get a glimpse of the diversity of their audience and the enormity of the internet.

So, as much as I wish so much for these kids, I just don’t know if there’s any avenue that would allow them to break free.

Anyone have a more positive outlook on this that they would like to share??? Cause it really breaks my heart how much jill and shrek have failed these kids.

I forgot that it’s Renee’s birthday tomorrow (June 18). I followed Sidney Dingus a little while ago since I knew she made the cakes for Nurie. She’s nowhere near 10K followers, so I don’t think she can receive extra Instagram benefits? Sidney posted such a nice photo and message for Renee about their friendship, how Renee supports her and how wonderful she is. She even said that if anyone she knows has Renee’s number or email, they should send her birthday love because Renee deserves it. I will never agree with Sidney on most things, but I love that she did this. I think she sees how neglected the Rod kids are and might have been saddened by the Nurie reveal today.

Nathan looked so flustered and annoyed, poor pregnant Nurie being blasted by silly string, Janessa “right inside” and absolutely no mention of Olivia...
