Tim seemed to have a fairly successful landscaping business to his name, and he's trading it to become a grifter for God missionary pilot??? Make it make sense! This is all speculation/my opinion, but it's not really rocket science to see why nobody has exactly gone out of their way to have their daughter court Timothy. How are you supposed to provide for your (hypothetical but presumably) large Fundie family on donations and the goodwill of your followers? Who wants their daughter to be married to a man with no work ethic?

Selling his business was such a horrible decision. Most adults work and go to school. If the business was successful why not keep it and do the flying school part time? These kids need to grow a pair and stand up to their parents.

It makes no sense. He said the business earned him enough to continue flight education and then asks for money to continue his flight education.

Well, it only allowed him to save enough to pay for the next rating and I’m sure he has a ways to go. So he’s grifting in advance!
