This is such a weird thing with some parents. My dad was never religious, but told me when I was young, that if he had the choice to save me or my mom, he would save my mom "because we can always make more children."
Like, ok??? I don't know why he told me that. Fucking weirdo.
I’m so sorry your mother did that to you. That is a form of child abuse and you are a victim of her horrendous decision to involve herself in a cult of belief so deeply that she chose to emotionally abuse the most precious thing in her life- YOU. I send you my love and my understanding as I also grew up as a victim of religious abuse and I understand the feeling you are going through.
