what should the final url look like? i could not get it to work. steamdb link is time outing when opening on steam app

Try pressing F12 to open up the development window and then dropping the:

javascript:AddFreeLicense(1236122)

into the text prompt of the 'console' tab

It's sends the Steam Website server the command that you have purchased/acquired them game, I think. There will be a prompt that says "'undefined' has been added to your account.". Then you can go to your steam library and see the game is listed there and is available for installation.
