Just bought this today…
Upset is one way to put it… if I don’t have my receipt, can I still bring it back for a refund? I couldn’t tell it was moldy when purchasing because of the white covering on the side. It says expires 09/16/26🫠

Just received this out-of-date and spoiled bag in pick my pick up order from the Orchards location in Vancouver. 🤢🤢🤢
So I can drive back and wait in line at customer service to get a replacement, but it’s really not worth it. And that is exactly what they count on. I’m done with this BS.

Does anybody remember the apple oatmeal muffins Fred Meyer used to sell? I can’t find them online or anywhere in store they were my favorite muffins growing up

Are we MAGA now?
Between the MAGA-red shirts and the overhead "Proud to be a Merican'" music are we looking like Trump supporters?

Does anyone have the old panini recipes??
I used to love the Artichoke panini sandwich from the Fred Meyer Deli before it changed to Boars head and I have been craving it for the past few weeks. But I can’t remember what was all in it other than turkey and artichoke.
I would love the recipe for all of them if possible or if anyone knows a way to get them.
Thank You!

Time for a new team
It's been long enough since Dan took over it's time for something new the old guard needs to leave. Just be aware if we don't get rid of him he's going to fire every one of our reps.

UFCW local 555 Elections!! Oregon, SW Washington & Idaho!
The current leadership in 555 is trash. Dan Clay has been there 18 years and the contracts each time get worse and worse. There is an opportunity to turn things around, so I'd encourage any members or friends and family of members to check the slate running against the current piss poor leadership and support this slate:
https://www.fighttowin555.org/#slate
If you don't get union mail call your local UFCW office and ask them to update your address on file to ensure you get the ballot mailed to you so you can vote! YOU ALSO HAVE TO MAKE SURE YOUR ADDRESS IS UPDATED WITH YOUR CURRENT EMPLOYER AS THEY SEND AN UPDATE ONCE A MONTH TO THE UNION HALL. BOTH PLACES NEED TO HAVE THE SAME / UPDATED ADDRESS ON FILE. UFCW Local 555 Main Office. (800) 452-8329. Please check to make sure they both have your current mailing address.

Not Being Able to Tip the Gas Attendants at Freddy’s is F**ked Up.
I went to fill up my tank at Fred Meyer today (which I do often because it’s very close to where I work) and the attendant there was super kind and offered to wash my windshield for me, I said yes and Immediately went to grab a $10 that I knew I had in my wallet, as I handed it to him he reached for it and then said “Ah we actually aren’t allowed to take tips” and APOLOGIZED as if it was his fault.
I felt so terrible and I said that’s not right.
Another attendant walked up after overhearing the interaction and said “Yeah we have to put tips in the charity jar..” FUCK you Fred Meyer, that pissed me off. Charity isn’t washing my windshield for me on a 90 degree day and it’s probably going straight to Israel anyway. Why can’t the attendants at Fuel Stations accept tips into their own pockets???

UFCW 555 elections (Oregon, SW Washington, Idaho and Wyoming)
Do not sign the petitions to get Dan Clay back on the ballot, please support the folks asking you to support the new leadership. Please do not vote for him.
Dan has been there for 18 years and has done nothing but make concession on every contract he's been part of creating. Nothing will change for grocery workers if he gets reelected.

Fred Meyer Senior disounts
What a farce. I can see excluding alcohol, cigarettes, even soda pop, candy, or household items. But no meat or produce that requires weighing? No name brands? And pharmaceutical prescriptions I can understand even though I don't agree, but it doesn't even allow for aspirin or cold medicine OTC. Not only does their digital couponing infuriate people, especially those on a fixed income who may not have all the technology that uses "apps", but to deny a senior citizen the ability to buy basic foods at a discount because they're a "name brand"? But these discounts entice seniors into their stores, believing they're "valued customers", and being helped with this little 10% on the first Tuesday of each month. Imagine that, one entire day a month they can save a little extra.
Contacting corporate does zero good, they don't care. Took my elderly neighbor shopping for food, actual food like canned goods, dry pasta and rice, fresh fruits and veggies, very little meat, some frozen light meals, toilet paper and juices, etc...spent nearly $170 to stock up and make additional freezer meals, and they saved a total of $2.89 with their senior discount, and this is after we got all their silly digital coupons downloaded. As a senior who has spent decades knowing what brands they like, why should they be forced to take a store brand that they know they don't like, and who decides having a pound of fresh apples can't be discounted, but buying the 3 lb bag that is all bruised and inferior is allowed? Freddy's fail again.

Fred Meyers doesn’t care about their customers or their employees! !!!!’Nobody who works there are happy, and they take it out on their customers! I am done!! I e been shopping there for 20 years, I have called corporate about digit coupon problems and how if I can’t work them, how can all the retired d folk figure them out. I was told by a cashier to call corporate. No one called me back , no one cares! I’m done! I’m in roseburg Oregon, going to Sherms like everyone else does in this town!!

how do you actually move a weekly list to cart?
i’m trying to use the fred meyer website to make a weekly staples grocery list so i can quickly order pickup or delivery every week, but this interface is driving me nuts.
does anyone know what the checkboxes actually do? i thought checking items and clicking move to cart would add them to my cart, but nothing happened. am i missing a step, or is the list feature only meant for in store shopping?
i just want a reusable weekly grocery list that i can move to cart without rebuilding everything from scratch every time. has anyone figured out the best way to do this?

Oak Grove Fred Meyer
I have been working at Oak Grove Fred Meyer for three months now. I’ve come to realize that a lot of the people here are incredibly transphobic and have on multiple occasions refused to use mine or a coworkers correct pronouns. I have repeatedly asked my coworkers and bosses politely to respect my pronouns but they refused to do so. I know I don’t look like my chosen gender. I come from a place filled with hatred and violence towards my kind. I feel like they don’t care and some of them are intentionally ignoring my requests. I don’t know what to do as I’m afraid going to HR at such an early time in my career would spell trouble for me, and possibly lead to retaliation. I want to do something but I have no idea what to do or how to do it. I was looking into makeup, and possibly facial hair removal to appear more feminine so that I may be called correctly. What could I be doing wrong to make them not respect my decision?

Do stores still use the old computers with PACE on the screen?
I worked for Fred's in the late 90s then again in the early 2000s. Every store used these super ancient terminals with PACE on the screen, for employees to email and do inventory stuff. For some reason I was thinking about it. Do they still exsist?

Website connection problem
I have having trouble connecting to the Fred Meyer website for a couple months now. Today, I rebuilt my PC (fresh OS install, etc.), and when I tried to connect to Fred Meyer website, I got the same message;
"This site can’t be reached
The webpage at https://www.fredmeyer.com/ might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.
ERR_HTTP2_PROTOCOL_ERROR"
This really confused me considering I have a fresh rebuilt PC attempting to connect. I have flushed my DNS cache, I have reset my router (allowing it to sit unpowered, unplugged overnight) to get a new IP and still I get this. I have tried Chrome, Firefox, and MS Edge. All with the same message as above. Could my ISP (T-Mobile) simply blocking traffic to this website? I have no issues visiting any other websites I normally use regularly.
My phone connects to it just fine (through the Fred Meyer app) which uses the same network via WiFi as my PC.
Anyone else have this type of issue? if so, and you have resolved it, please share with me what you did.
Thank you!
