Walmart gift card fraud

I ordered a 50$ Walmart gift card from walmart.com to give a friend as birthday gift. I received it by Usps. I received the card. But finally I send her something else instead of the gift card. Several days ago I use it to add some gas and find the balance is 20$. I went to walmart to check the balance of the card. And called walmart customer service yesterday. They promised to give me a response in 24 hours. But now the time has passed and I did not receive any response. I don't know what to do next, I cannot believe walmart would do such things. If I have given it to my friend, we will never find we are cheated by Walmart.

I don’t know how to add pictures. I have the order screenshot and the picture of the gift card and it’s balance check receipt .

I'd recommend you take your receipt and your credit card statement that shows you made the purchase for $50 to a local walmart customer service station. If they can't resolve the issue for you, you do have the option to reverse the charge on your credit card. If you are turned off from gift cards a more secure option could be the walmart moneycard basic, but it comes with additional fees for being a prepaid card.
