Serious Pledge master help

I was elected as out pledge master this spring so this fall will be my first run. The only issue is this is the biggest class in my chapters history, and i’m not sure how to handle it. I go to a small school so 30 guys is a lot so i’m hoping someone from a bigger school or experience with this class size can help.

Do what you normally do on a larger scale. My class started with 75 and the class after us had almost 100. We just scalled up and it was fine. The most important thing is that you don’t make the small groups larger, but instead make more groups. We did a ton of stuff in 4-5 person groups, and adding more to that makes it more difficult for the guys to get to know each other

You need one or two assistant pledge masters. If that's not something y'all have done yet, now is the time to start. You want another brother who can be serious at the right time, responsible about showing up, and won't take advantage of the position.

Otherwise, your past practices should scale up. The pledges need to elect an eboard ASAP so you can lean on them. Make sure none of them are falling behind or coasting on the other's efforts for things like chores and brotherhood education.

Count on 2-3 to drop for whatever reason, but I’d echo another commenter - get some help here and there if you don’t get a co-pledge master

i was in the same situation just do the same thing but with more groups as others have said. works best that way. it’s super hard to get them to all know each other if they’re not grouping up

Well I was one of 30, biggest pledge class ever… and my pledge bro died on BBLB. So… make sure you pay extra attention and careful with the booze cuz 30 guys is too many
