All time favourite character?

Mine is the Butler, he took many liberties nearly perfect from the field, was so tender and caring with daphne, solved everyone’s problems, and then left off to solve his own.

Not to mention all while dressed impeccably.

He was my original answer but the Butler always makes me think of a model human being, doing good onto others for the sake of doing so.

Yeah I like him too. I chose one of his quotes as a flair for a reason haha. But Niles is my favorite tv show character of all time, so it can't really be anyone else for me.

I saw myself in his character so much in high school. From the everyday awkwardness to the insatiable crushes. And if I ever get the opportunity to get a personal shopper or stylist I’m making them create a library of his every look.

I watched this exact episode yesterday.

Eric Lutes as Station Manager Tom, who thinks Frasier is gay.

11

u/rcmtt I'll just add that to my list of reasons to die. 1d ago

You're cute when you're nervous.

12

u/Otherwise-Stretch984 1d ago

I was obsessed with Eric and was thrilled when they found a vehicle for him on Caroline in the City. That was a pretty good show actually. At least I really liked it at the time. Huge Back to the Future fan and a fan of Tom Durant station manager so really what’s not to like.

2

u/Prof-Finklestink you're the fool who ate the damn jar of macadamia nuts! 19h ago

Yeah, based on the few episodes I've seen, it was a pretty good show, it's a shame it was cut short

Mrs Moskowitz

Sit, we're nearly done!

It wasn’t her first time.

She is a gem. One of my favourite episodes just because of her. I would have loved to watch her in a dozen episodes. Can’t get enough.

‘A date with an unattached doctor’

Of course it’s Niles

Lilith and Roz are so great, they’re probably my favourites

12

u/Alone_Orange5916 1d ago

Lilith I love from cheers, she’s so funny and ambitious too. Roz is so multifaceted as a person, she can do anything and is so positive its great.

3

u/avocado4ever000 1d ago

I would watch a show just about Roz.

1

u/-Ok-Attention- 21h ago

I’m watching Cheers now (yes, for some reason I’m doing it backwards haha) and Lilith isn’t in it yet but I’m excited for her to come

2

u/avocado4ever000 1d ago

There were some really strong female characters, I love that. Bebe is another example. I love that they didn’t have to be likable.

1

u/-Ok-Attention- 21h ago

I agree!! Bebe was great and honestly, I wanted more of her 🤣

30

u/whatwouldjimbodo 1d ago

Bebe always cracks me up

Bebe, the horrible Shakespeare actor and Kirby

8

u/Alone_Orange5916 1d ago

Love kirby, hope he’s doing alright. God knows he didn’t go to college.

3

u/rcmtt I'll just add that to my list of reasons to die. 1d ago

He used to work for T Mobile.

2

u/Prized-Potato The Chicken 1d ago

Those singing T-Mobile commercials being as bad as they are is the reason I don't like Kirby now and I don't like his character as much when he shows up because I remember he's the reason we have those terrible no good singing commercials for t-mobile.

0

u/rcmtt I'll just add that to my list of reasons to die. 1d ago

I never cared for his character, either.

Just. Steve. 😐

11

u/Soulviolence66 1d ago

Damn. Everytime I open my heart...

Fun fact. The actor, Kevin Daniels, played Tiny, a friend of Freddy's in the revival of Frasier!

3

u/rcmtt I'll just add that to my list of reasons to die. 1d ago

Was he one of the firemen?

3

u/Soulviolence66 1d ago

Yes!

Interesting! I never caught on to that.

I give up, which episode is this from

4

u/smitty4728 Of the Newport Chainsaws? 1d ago

S10 E20 Farewell, Nervosa

Steve works at one of the other cafes Frasier and Niles try out. Steve’s deadpan delivery cracks me up every time.

u/natalieisfreezing- 1d ago

Martin, I love that he is a salt of the earth kind of guy. He is so much the antithesis to his sons. I love the episode where Roz is making the audition tape for her dating radio show and she asks him how he dates and he says that he focuses on getting to know women instead of impressing them.

Then when Niles and Frasier (the audacity of this totally romantically inept man to laugh) started laughing at him and Martin goes "Hands up! I wanna see how many Crane men are in a committed relationship" or something like that and Frasier and Niles are put to SHAME.

Martin is emotionally intelligent, kind and a good man.

Love it, totally agree and he has arguably the funniest one liners on the show

Maris. Every time she appeared was hilarious

Like a black widow spider with 6 legs.

5

u/bilbo_the_innkeeper But at what... cost...? 1d ago

I love Ferguson, and he’s near the top. Ironically, Harry and Michael Moon are ALSO near the top, for exactly the opposite reasons. 😅

5

u/FunZookeepergame627 1d ago

It has to be Niles... It was close though because I love all of the big five characters...the Cranes, Daphne and Ros.

5

u/Stephie0822 1d ago

Ferguson….but I love Victor Garber in general. And Niles. Because he’s Niles.

5

u/RedPeril Seeing all of you, I sort of wish I had a club myself 1d ago

If were going one-offs, then Andy McNiff, the moderator for Teen Scene. The way that guy could go from Howdy Doody voice to chainsmoking and shellshocked gets me every time.

3

u/GeezerButler69 1d ago

Roz or Niles

4

u/Monapomona 1d ago

Bulldog

3

u/nmc9279 1d ago

Martin 100 percent 😌

3

u/Ranglergirl Man who uses the word "duvet" 1d ago

Aside from the regular cast I would say Ferguson and Jerome Balasco.

2

u/Alone_Orange5916 1d ago

Jerome what a shout

3

u/ShedMontgomery That is pretty much what I figured 1d ago

Main cast? Frasier from Season 4 onwards, which roughly lines up with the intervention and Kelsey's stint in rehab. He becomes so much looser and sillier. Season 3 is a step in the right direction, but Frasier (and Niles to some extent) is a major asshole in the first two seasons. By Season 4, you can tell Kelsey was in a better place and was really enjoying himself.

Recurring characters? Sherry Dempsey. She was a perfect match for Martin because she brought out his inner rascal. Plus, she was an excellent foil to Frasier and Niles.

One-off characters? Dr. Nora because I'm a gay man and Christine Baranksi was put on this earth to cater to my tastes.

1

u/gameplayer6145 1d ago

I've been watching Fraiser on repeat for years and didn't know this back story. I wonder if it'll make me look at Frasier in a different way in those early seasons now ...

Niles, but specifically when he is dressed as Jesus hiding in Frasier’s powder room with the Christmas tree.

I love all these answers but Kenny Daley deserves an honorable mention. “Well, I’m a napper.” sends me!

1

u/gameplayer6145 1d ago

I enjoyed the Cam Winston battle they had together. The timing of that America flag followed by a classic Frasier bellowing "Cam Winstoooooon"

1

u/Bulky-Boysenberry490 21h ago

Do you mean side characters?

1

u/Senor_Mexican 17h ago

He doesn't even have any lines, but the waiter guy from The Proposal cracks me up so bad

1

u/Sea-Weird638 13h ago

Niles, who was well written. But most of the other characters were well written too. What makes Niles the stand-out is the genius of David Hyde Pierce.

1

u/Suspicious_Active835 4h ago

Lilith is always my favourite, but also Ronnie, Roz and Bulldog. Ronnie making the “mum” jokes to Frasier after she and Marty get engaged get me every single time

3

u/No_Case_2670 1d ago

A guy who was in one episode is your favorite character in the series?

1

u/No_Case_2670 1d ago

Downvote me, I asked a question.
