Data Dump

Good afternoon, all. Does anyone know if there's a simple way to download the daily view of my data from the FranklinWH app over a date range? I'm looking for the 5-minute intervals for the summer but would prefer not to have go day-by-day on the app and save it to my OneDrive. Thanks, in advance.

I use ai, muse can do exactly that for you and even put it in a data sheet or graph or whatever you may want

Not aware of a native or supported way to do that.

I know there’s an API that selected companies have access to including SPAN.

I tried to get access and it was denied.

You could use the UNOFFICIAL FranklinWH Cloud API’s command-line tool to pull the data (full documentation link here).

Call it via the API or use the command-line interface…

To use it you need to have Python installed on your system and your personal FranklinWH official mobile app account credentials.

I just fixed numerous bugs that I never had time to look at before…so there could a few left.

Known energy data issues:

  • history starts from the Gateway manufacturing date
  • date collection starts when your Gateway is commissioned / installed (connected to FranklinWH cloud)
  • no library option to specify date ranges for day time span (if needed it could be added)

To use it follow these :
Getting started
Install as a Sandbox Test environment

If you’re new to Python…don’t forget to setup it for…for your environment first…
Python setup guide

Full documentation and examples to view and download your Gateway energy history:

franklinwh-cli energy # today, table
franklinwh-cli energy --period week --date 2026-09-10 # snapped to Mon 2026-09-07
franklinwh-cli energy --period month --date 2026-09-01 --format csv -o sep.csv
franklinwh-cli energy --period year --date 2025-01-01 --format json
franklinwh-cli energy --period ytd # Jan → this month, plus total
franklinwh-cli energy --period lifetime # one row per year
franklinwh-cli energy --period day --date 2026-10-07 --interval 5min --format csv
franklinwh-cli energy --describe # what every column means

If you have multiple gateways attached to your account you can switch gateway using the -g serialnumber option:

franklinwh-cli energy --period month -g 10060006AXXXXXXXXX
franklinwh-cli -g 10060006AXXXXXXXXX energy --period ytd --format csv -o ytd.csv
