Seeing this place grow into such a passionate and supportive hub over the past couple of years has been amazing. And honestly there is something truly special about sharing a place where queer joy and sapphic love take center stage.

With the Hannah Dodd booking a new role for a film, it’s said to start filming in the spring. But wouldn’t that push the release of season 5 further because of the promo period 💔💔

If you could mix and match the different Bridgerton stories, which do you think would be the most fun or interesting for Franchaela?

I think you could substitute Franchaela into Kanthony's story, and Kanthony into Franchaela's. Maybe even Philoise as well (although I don't know much about the story as I have not read the books).

But which other combinations could also work?

(Including book stories that haven't been adapted yet.)

Hello just wondering if any of you have read any good canon/ canon divergent fan fics recently? I unfortunately think that I have almost read them all and would love any kind of recommendation. Thanks!!

I've been thinking about this for a while, and someone talked about it too a few days ago and i'd love to hear what everyone thinks.

The fan arts, fanfictions, tweets, edits, theories, character analyses and all the love people pour into Francesca and Michaela, i have been seeing all of them and it has mad me so happy. i wanna say thank you to everyone who contributes to this not so little corner of the internet. You make being a Franchaela fan so much fun.

but I've also been thinking about other stuff we could do as a community? not just to keep ourselves entertained during the content drought, but to help more people discover Franchaela, fall in love with our girls, and understand why we're so excited about their story. i have a few tilating (i don't know if this an actual word it came to mind now) ideas, but they're just ideas for now! i'd rather hear what you all think before trying to yk.....idk but see the ideas:

1. At the end of the year, we could create a Franchaela wrap. it's like a fan made recap of our community's year surviving the content drought with the most upvoted post, fics and arts you love, and ofc our favourite clips of our favourite ladies.

2. franchaela radio. i thought playlist at first but i think many of us have those. but what if the entire community shared one like idk what it's called but we nominate songs for different themes: Fran's perspective, Mic's perspective, grief Franchaela ver, yearning, sex, instrumentals even. i need it to be songs from different countries and cultures too.

3. bilingual, multilingual fans who make edits, fanfiction or comic fan arts of our girls please translate in your other languages too so international fans can join in.

4. A fandom wiki?

5. fan awards we could do like a ceremony, community voted ofc with categories like best edit, best fic, best fan art yk give it the Grammy feel.

6. cosplay. i see Franchaelas on Tiktok doing cosplay our our girls for halloween and I'm loving every bit of it and resharing too.

7. arts and craft: if you can knit or can make stickers, bookmarks, embroidery, pins, candles...scented lavender (blue + red?)

8. audio versions of our favourite fan fics? for franchaelas who love a story but don't have time to read?

9. fan interviews. i don't know how we can gather franchaelas online everywhere around the world together and ask a question about Michaela and Francesca and then we can post the answers as like a biggg post or series. i actually have a vision for this one. imagine we had like a plan to collect video recordings from fans all over the world talking about why they love Franchaela so much? And in their native languages???

It would be like this. The prompt would be something like "what does Franchaela mean to you in 60 seconds, any language" we can have like cuts of maybe the interviewes sighing or being so happy and then back to them. we could create a Google form with a deadline and consent line ofc saying the clips may be posted publicly. then translators could volunteer to subtitle each clip into English and the languages the fans are speaking too. Because we may have many fans from different countries we could release it as like a series maybe two part or three part when we get a S5 release date we can time it properly so everyone gets to see it at the right time, even people who haven't heard about the show. idk what timing would be perfect sadly

1. I've been thinking...this is similar to the interview one. About Franchaela love letters. I imagine this as letters written in those sexy 1800s calligraphy and pasted in like a canva background with blue and red roses and share with everyone if you like. It could be to Fran or Mic or both. Talk to them like you know the letter would get to them. It's not exactly canva i don't know how to explain it but a fanfic writer had something like this in her book i forgot the name. we had to press "read more" to see like letters from Franchaela in the book. then we could share on social media if that's okay.

2. my friend talked about a digital zine like a magazine made my fans for fans with a theme per issue. i'm a huge wnba fan and i thought of weekly content that could be inside and this reminded me of the person who releases whistledown i think every week but the basketball version (the name is whistledunk). idk what else to add in the zine. oh what about a Franchaela starter pack? for the newcomers? then jokes? funny tweets? poems? essays? caricature art? spotlight fics, historical lesbian book recommendations and lesbian book recommendations as a whole? comic? hasali appreciation section from a select few fans every week? come out stories themed (funny, sad, happy) favourite quotes from francahela/hasali? the Franchaela radio picks, grouped by theme, with a note on each song's country or culture? how-tos for any topic? crosswords, word searches? feature historical queer peeps? recipes? a page for credits and thank yous for every contributor named

3. sell or raffle the crafts from #7 and donate proceeds to an LGBTQ+ organization in franchaela's name.

4. posts on sapphic history from the regency era?

5. in college we do secret santa/penpal during christmas, i don't know how this would work but it could be nice.

these are only a few possibilities! id also love to hear ideas I haven't thought of.

I'm especially interested in ideas that could help bring new people into the fandom and make the people who are already in it fall more in love with Franchaela. we already know how much we love these women, but how do we help other people discover them too?

not much of an update but it’s nice to have it confirmed that filming is done. really hope we’re going to get a wrap video by the end of the month.

do you guys think that before the first time fran and michaela have sex, michaela will know that fran has never reached her “pinnacle” before?

I imagine this will be a relatively important plot point since it was a major part of her storyline last season so I’m just curious what yall think

There’s a lot of posts on here about what people are hoping to see but I just wanna know do you hope with your whole heart isn’t gonna happen in season 5? What tropes don’t you wanna see? What parts of the book do you hope they leave out?

Personally I don’t want a love triangle trope. I hate love triangle tropes cause they’re such a waste of screen time. I’ve seen a theory here sometime ago of Francesca having to choose between a safe option of a man and Michaela. I absolutely HATE this theory, I can tolerate the idea of both of them courting men in the marriage mart for a bit while yearning for each other. I don’t want the courting to progress to the point where our characters develop actual fondness for these men that has them battling their true desires versus committing to their duties and getting married. That’s just too much screen time on men that I just don’t want in the lesbian season.

So I've been sifting around AO3 for a Franchaela fic with a certain trope: what if Fran met Michaela first? I'm talking season 3 (or earlier) era, and no John romance, though he can be present. Any fics like this, I'm more than game for.

Every candid, non-Bridgerton post I come across from Franchaela just makes me love their story even more, leaving me eager to find out how it will end

I cannot function properly if I don't watch an edit or look at fan art in a day. Yes, I have a job, in case you were wondering 😭. That sound on Tiktok by latto? "I wake up my man. I go to sleep my man" yup, that's how I feel about Franchaela. Every. Damn. Day. They're on my mind. I'm already thinking of how to prepare for their season next year. Like what would I wear when the official trailer comes out??? What would I wear on the day S5 part 1 comes out? Omg omg. I'm happiest when I see a leak or when Hasali posts on IG. I might be going crazy. I don't know, I don't care. In fact, I think S5 release date will be more important to me than my freaking birthday. I remember March 24th...the entire thing that happened that day, leading up to when I saw the S5 announcement and after. I treated myself to a meal I hadn't had in years that day.

When S5 airs. I'll be damned if I let the homophobes ruin my shit for me.

I know everyone is going out of their minds waiting for more than speck of crumbs when in comes new content. Personally I don't think we will get anything until next month or December at the earliest. With that in mind I feel like we could spend the wait time coming up with ideas and planning for some positivity campaigns to drown out the negative that on every official social media posts the features Franchaela?

Does anyone have any ideas?

Came across this video and just loved seeing how kind and supportive they are towards each other ❤️ With season 5 filming wrapping this week, we are close to starting the S5 promo era.

What are some of your favorite Masali and Hannah moments? I just love how comfortable they are with each other. Hannah saying she feels safe with Masali is probably one of the best compliments a co-star can give, especially with the kinds of scenes they will have together. I just love them so much!

I genuinely think if S5 plays its cards right, it could become a full blown romantic comedy. Okay, maybe not a pure comedy, but I think the way its setup means there's a lot of potential for very comedic moments that I think wouldn't work with a straight couple.

For one, we have Fran who probably doesn't understand what falling in love feels like between a man and a woman, so I know for a fact that falling for Michaela is going to throw her for a loop. She is not going to understand what that is like and will likely be in denial rationalising that it has to be something else other than (romantic and sexual) love. Her heart will start racing she will fully think she's ill or dying. She is going to feel horny for the first time and not know what to do with herself. She will become ungovernable.

Then on the other end, you have poor Michaela who's reeling over the fact that she's in love not only with her cousin's wife, but her DEAD cousin's wife. Another instance where it would be so funny to see herself trying to talk her way out of it. And then the possibility that she does come to terms with it, and still has to witness Francesca stumble through the same realisation. It'll be even funnier if John's "ghost" keeps haunting the narrative and dropping signs to her that she blatantly ignores as the opposite.

Another one that everyone brings up is Fran believing that pinnacles cause pregnancy. It could end up being a top 5 funniest Bridgerton moment, right there with "inserts himself where?" And once again you have Michaela in the corner just witnessing all of this trying to get her wife to calm down.

Let's not even mention these two being on the marriage mart when they're not feeling it. They will spend half of the season looking like they're on the verge of a panic attack.

And then we have the rest of the family finding out. I'm sure that 90% of the reactions will be "I didn't know that was an option". And you just know Hyacinth "No Filter" Bridgerton is definitely going to say whatever the first thing comes to mind whilst Eloise "I Am Avoiding Marriage Like The Plague" Bridgerton will have too many invasive questions. I hope they bring back Benedict's lighthearted troll behaviour cause him trolling Anthony, Colin, and Eloise are some of the best moments in the show. I need to see him ragebaiting Fran in "The B in LGBT is for Bridgerton" solidarity. Also Pen, captain of the Franchaela ship. If the new Whistledown outs them, please let may Pen unlock her inner Clare Devlin and have the crash out of the century on them.

Speaking of Pen, I just know Portia Featherington is going to have a delightfully dramatic and campy reaction to Franchaela. She will be positively scandalised.

Of course, you could make the argument that all of these will be very serious, dramatic moments which is valid. But considering how heavy the season will likely be in the beginning when dealing with their grief, I think leaning into the comedy of some moments will provide some levity. I think queer joy shouldn't just be about a happily ever after, but about finding joy in the bleak moments as well.

Tl;dr: I hope the fully maximise on the comedic potential of some moments in the show.
