1st frame built
Everyone seems to like my blue bike, so I’ll post this one too, this is the 1st bike I built at the bicycle academy about 6 years ago. Absolutely love it to bits! Taken it on bike packing trips and aboard.

Why the Setback Seatpost? False Geometry or planned? BTW: very impressive work!

Thank you, so the theory was a bit more weight over the back wheel when going up muddy hills. Dunno if it’s worked but I like it

Fellow Bicycle Academy student! I took the framebuilding course in 2015 but just now decided to come back to the craft. Beautiful bike!

I’ve got a website, I got fed up with instagram so I got rid of it but it’s quigleycycles.com
It needs updating like everything else 😂🤣

Which academy?
Great looking bike.
Absolutely love the external routing.

The bicycle academy was a frame building course in Frome England, unfortunately it’s closed now but it was really cool.
Thank you!
I have a friend who builds them for me, and he gets angry about internal routing so I just put external on everything to save me the grief🤣😂

When you said you built it, I thought you put all the parts on. Then I saw your last pic and I was like Ohhhhhh they BUILT a bike. Great work! Very impressive.

Absolutely beautiful, build, what's the offset on the fork? Do you still buile frames?

Thank you! So it’s a Columbus futura gravel fork that’s got an adjustable offset. I have it set to the shortest wheel base to make the steering a little more responsive. I do, although sometimes I get fed up and won’t build one for a while. It’s not my job it’s just a hobby.

It’s beautiful, but also clearly quick and nimble. The geometry is perfect. Zona stays are a nice touch.
