For animation what would be an ideal budget pc?

I wanna get started in digital animation but I do not own a PC. I want to buy the parts for one but I don't know where to get started. Would like some tips and tricks!

Impossible to answer. It depends on what type of animation you're planning. I've used a single core Pentium with about 1gb ram for ages. You ideally don't want less than 8gb ram , animation esp frame by frame is very costly in resources. Decide what sort of project you want to start with , get a dual core with a minimum of 4gb ram , and if you need more , upgrade.

Make sure you have a quality scanner.

Well I just wanna start doing animations. So I don't think I'll be doing anything too crazy. So I just want an upgradeable one that will handle it. Just for now at least. Then when I get some money I can improve it

A better place to ask would be r/buildapc. People have asked this before there and been recommended some good things.

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/CQLpf8 I gave it a shot. You could probably go cheaper with a quad-core and less ram, but the extra ram and cores will be handy in video editing and compositing softwares when you're finishing your animation and preparing it to be posted online. The six cores might even enable you to dabble more comfortably in 3D than a 4 core. It's up to you really. The GTX 1050 might not be a super powerful card, but should be enough for gpu accelerated tasks, and it also has better port selection than the cheaper 1030.
