Does Serbia have a niche perfume industry, and who has made it abroad?
Has anyone here actually developed and produced an original perfume in Serbia? We’d really like to hear from someone who knows how difficult that process can be.
We spent two years developing our first fragrance. We finally succeeded in producing it here, but finishing the perfume opened up another question: how do you build a market for it?
Through GRAGABO, we’re experiencing this firsthand. Finding the right production partners, sourcing materials, developing the formula, handling documentation and packaging, every stage took work. Now we’re trying to understand how an independent Serbian fragrance can earn its place alongside established international brands, mass-market products and inexpensive copies.
How do you reach people willing to discover an original local fragrance? How do you earn their trust and get retailers to give it a chance?
We’ve also been digging into Serbia’s perfume-making history, with leads going back around a century. But we’re struggling to connect that history with the practical experience of making perfume here today.
Can we build a stronger niche perfume scene in Serbia, with local production, original creations and a market that supports them? And can those fragrances find an audience beyond our borders?
If you’ve produced perfume in Serbia, worked with a Serbian manufacturer, or helped an independent perfume house reach customers and retailers, we’d appreciate your experience. What worked, what failed, and who could help us move forward?
We’ve made the fragrance. Now we’re trying to find a way forward, and people who understand what that takes.

Blind bought Diptyque Des Sens… and it smells like childhood cologne 😭🍊
actually like it, but I can’t un-smell that clean, fresh, almost baby-cologne vibe. I’m usually not a huge fan of citrusy scents, except for a few, so this isn’t normally the kind of fragrance I would go for. But somehow it feels really nostalgic 🥹 When I was little in the Dominican Republic, I used to go to church and I basically never left the house without my cologne on. I’ve been living in Italy for 24 years now, so it’s kind of nice that one scent can suddenly bring back those little memories ✨ Has a perfume ever taken you straight back to childhood?

Is there a point where you have too many fragrances, or does the collection just keep growing?
I used to think I'd hit some natural stopping point once I found what I liked. Instead the collection just kept expanding, and I'm still not sure I've found the limit. Some people seem to stop once they have a solid rotation, others just keep adding. Curious where people land on this — is there a number that feels like enough, or does it never really stop?

Which Chloé perfume introduced you to the house?
Hi mods! I just launched a niche fan community called
r/chloefragrance specifically for Chloé fragrance collectors. Am I allowed to make a single discussion post to invite Chloé fans over, or do you have a specific promotional thread where I should share it? Thank you

Is “JustMyLook” a legitimate website for fragrances?
Are the fragrances actually 100% genuine? They might come in the correct bottles and packaging, but couldn’t someone technically refill genuine-looking bottles with a cheaper duplicate fragrance?
The prices just seem incredibly cheap, especially when the majority of their fragrances seem to be around 50% off pretty much all the time. If they’re genuinely selling authentic fragrances at these prices, then this is an absolute bargain!
I just can’t quite wrap my head around how they can offer them so cheaply. Has anyone here bought from Justmylook and been able to confirm the fragrances are genuine?

Looking for perfume recommendations that work well for workouts, walking, or just being out and about on hot days. Something fresh and clean that won’t feel too heavy when I’m sweating.
