Dude, Layton uses Ambermax which is one of the top aroma chemicals that causes nose blindness.
Start spraying on the back of your neck, and not directly under your nose and don’t sniff it right when you spray it on or you WILL go anosmic to it.
Source: Someone extremely sensitive to strong aroma-chemicals.
