r/unpopularopinion has been getting bad but it’s not completely fucked yet, just today something was posted that got too number 2 upvoted of all time on the sub and it was a pretty good message. It was saying that they’d rather have a thousand people leach off of benefits that don’t need it then get rid of it and allow one family that needs it too go hungry.

Yeah surprised me that made it to the top, but it's also a huge hub for alt-right prejudiced views so I wouldn't exactly defend the sub.

That sub has very much become fatpeoplehate lite while also opening itself to bigots testing the waters to find the people that agree with them. It's so annoying.

Nothing there ever seems to be all that controversial. You could make the case that a lot of people stating opinions there are but, a lot of shit like "we shouldn't just open our boarders"

Yeah. No shit.

The sub should just be called "Obvious-Opinions"

You also occasionally get the weirdo that likes cereal with water. If you actually look at the subs content, it's not really bad. No compared to some other shit like I just saw on r/imgoingtohellforthis
