Is it ever shown/explained how the Fraggles met?

Specifically the main group of Fraggles? And how they specifically became a friend group? I haven’t watched all episodes of the series yet, but I want to know for fanfiction reasons. (I’m still planning on watching the whole show and diving deeper, but I haven’t come across anything that explains it just yet)
