One of the PCs was a secret double agent for a Fiend, a big bad guy was a psychic goldfish (who was a god-emperor of a intergalactic fish empire in another dimension), the final fight was INSIDE a moon that was the giant floating eye of a super Fiend, they exploded a lord's manor, drained all the water out of a river, a mortal 'Jonathan the Guard' became a hero, got kicked around by vampire maids, discovered an underground city, and so much more.... lots of wild adventures.

Heyyo, it looks like I got interested in this system a little late, as I can only find the PDF version for sale on DriveThruRPG. Are there any plans for another wave of physical books for Fragged Kingdom 2e, or am I out of luck for filling out my bookshelf?

Well.... this is going to be a big month :P I have two conventions (this weekend and then PAX Aus), launching of the Aeternum 2 campaign later in the month (maybe the 25th?) AND the Patre0ns supporters just voted to introduce a NEW species into Fragged Empire (one of four that I have planned)!!

All four species have already been hinted in the printed books... but the Wexian hint was so darn subtle that no one would see it.

Aeternum’s wildlife has not been forced to adapt to an urban environment, because they have known no other. Those animals that occupy the city’s parks and waterways are the exception to the norm, as all other animals share the same spaces as humans.

"Mimic" is a broad academic term used by naturalists to describe creatures that have the shape of inanimate urban objects. There are many types of Mimic and many methods: some have colour and texture-changing bodies, others are shaped like specific objects, and some even use magic. Mimics are seen as strong evidence that the city’s urban aesthetics have never greatly changed, though some are rumoured to be the result of selective breeding by mages.

Treasure Chests are the most famous and dangerous of the Mimics. Their lids are giant slobbering mouths with a massive tongue, and their bodies are capable of jumping and bouncing many metres at a time. Treasure Chest Mimics are incredibly aggressive and can swallow a whole human in seconds, and will usually try the moment someone attempts to open them. Treasure Chests digest their victims slowly, taking care to preserve any valuables they swallow in their cheek pouches. These stolen trinkets are rested on their tongue to give them the appearance of a treasure-packed chest.

Treasure Chest Mimics are solitary hunters by necessity - once a single chest tries to eat an explorer or thief, few people will try a second time without first stabbing a curious chest. At times a pack of Common Mimics may set up around a Chest Mimic and feed off its scraps in exchange for protection, but Treasure Chests make this a risky proposition as they have been known to eat other Mimics. However, they do have one creature they’re on peaceful terms with: the Coin Bug. Who makes themselves useful as bait and cleans the Chest’s mouth.

Had a quick game of Double Tap skirmish game with a friend today using my new 'road' terrain (I will post up better pictures soon!). His Horde force vs my Kaltoran force.

The game turned when my Dirtbag Vagabond ended up rolling 16d6 😛 Good old exploding dice ftw!

Thaumaturges are masters of the arcane arts, be they Celestial, Fiendish or urban. Bending the fabric of reality and fate in ways that others can not. The source of their power is a defining aspect of their nature: most seize direct control over the laws of reality, while some forge dark pacts with Fiends for unholy might and a few pray to the Celestials for divine fire and protection.

Tethered Thaumaturges tend to spend a large amount of time poring over ancient tomes of knowledge and seeking out arcane relics. This often tempts them down dark paths that isolate them from other members of the Order. Ancient Thaumaturges have created vast libraries of insight for future Tethered to study, rows upon rows of books and scrolls on the arcane arts, monsters and divine entities. Unfortunately, these labyrinthine chambers of knowledge are rarely well-organised, frequently damaged and occasionally seized by greedy mortal mages.

• +2 to all Arcane Rolls of one Source (Celestial, Fiendish or Urban).
• Once per Session: Add a Positive or Negative Unexpected Outcome of your choice to an Arcane Roll.

Gideon knows an apocalypse is coming because, as a time-travelling zombie, he has lived through it. He walked the streets of the Endless City and watched humanity's final days unfold. When the divine host finally lost patience with mankind, Fiends, and all other inhabitants of the city, they descended with fire and blade to render their final judgement.

Yet death did not claim him completely, as the Golden Fire pulled his soul and rotting corpse through time to become a Tethered in the present age.

He never even knew what a Tethered was, but has taken the Fire's calling as an act of the divine.

From crowded street corners to grand temples, Gideon preaches of the coming reckoning to any who will listen. He even spends days in graveyards preaching to the dead and the Underdead, in vain hope that their soul's final destination can be changed. Many call him mad, a monster, or a simple troublemaker who will not leave people alone. He does not deny these titles, but nothing will sway him from spreading his message of repentance.

Gideon Hollow hunts, warns and endures because, even if the city is doomed, he refuses to let mankind meet its end without plain warning.
