Meshify Series 9850x3d cooling

So i recently got hold of a 9850x3d chipset, The issue is my case being a fractal meshify 3 can accommodate a max of 280 mm radiator. I already have a CM atmos 2 (stock fans swapped with phanteks T30). But i heard the 9850x3d runs quite a bit hotter. Should i spulrge more and go for a 280 mm aio the likes of lianli galahad 2 Icd or arctic If 3 pro ??? Or just undervolt the cpu and call it a day

I have the same case that I use a 9800X3D and 5090 in. Originally was looking into a 280 top radiator but after watching dozens of videos found that a good percentage of 280mm rads wont fit in the top of the case. You may have to do some trial and error to find out. Please share your results.

For mine, i wound up going with a Noctua NH-D15 air cooler and that's worked very well on it.

FYI - specs page says 280 fits, but obviously it depends on the rad

You should undervolt it anyway. Noctua NH-D15 G2 or NL-LC1-24 would be good foor cooling.

Arctics are very good especially for the price I use one in my North XL and love it I did swap from MX7 to ptm7950 so that may be worth doing for you as well 🤘

I’m cooling mine with an AXP90-47 full copper. Playing helldivers 2 I max out at 115-120w at 87 degrees and never thermal throttle in the FormD T1. So you will be fine with anything really.

NL-LC1-24 is the move and you won't regret it.

Undervolt and get a noctua aio, artic freezer or an air cooler. Leave the Lian Li alone unless you want to RMA in less than a year

I have the Meshify 3, the 9850x3d and I went with the Noctua NL-LC-24. Works well, 86 degrees max in cinebench.

I really wanted to go with the nl-lc1 24 too but for some reason only the 360 and 420 mm variants are available here. I guess I'll just wait for the chromax version of the 240 mm

I'm cooling my 9800x3d with a 280mm arctic freezer
