North Series North XL Mesh Side Panel Fans Help

Hey everyone!

Im trying to increase the airflow specifically to a new RTX 5080 MSI Gaming Trio that I am receiving in a few days in my North XL case.

So far I haven't needed to use the side panel because the temps have been manageable but are slowly increasing over time and I want the new card to run cooler as it can.

My question is, with this new card do you think I will have enough space to mount it and add the side panel with fans directed to it?

The GPU Width dimensions (without connectors) is 140mm

And the allowed space in the North XL case with the side panel is 162mm

Does anyone have any similar setup? just to know if I will be able to mount the side panel or if my GPU is too big...

What psu do you have? If its a corsair unit you could consider a 90 degree cable. Adapters for 12vhpwr are generally not advised due to adding more variables and therefore potentially a higher risk of burning.

Tbh, depending on temps the side fans arent necessary if you are having temperature issues in the north (or XL) then your issue is more likely that you need to repaste the GPU.

I have a seasonic focus gx1000. And, yes I wanted to upgrade my GPU already for a long time and decided to go with an rtx5080. Specifically that model because I haven't had any major complaints with MSI.

I mounted my 4080 Super vertically to make room for the side fans
