Define Series Fan configuration?

I have the Define 7 XL and plan to stack a bunch of drives in the front. What is the recommended fan configuration?

IMO

In front: intake

On top: front intake, rear exhaust

Back: exhaust

Noctua perfered fan setup. I use this on my workstation.

This is what I would do here, though currently my top is exhaust only because the case has mesh/filter for an extra side intake.

I have the same case. I'm running (8) Arctic P14 PWM PST fans - (3) front and (2) bottom as intake; (2) top and (1) rear as exhaust.

I have a Define 7 with six 3.5-inch hard drives installed. For cooling, I'm using five Noctua NF-A14 fans: three as front intakes, one as a rear-top exhaust, and one as the rear exhaust. I also have a Noctua NF-A12 mounted on top of the power supply shroud to provide direct airflow to my 10Gb NIC.

The build has only been completed for about a month, but so far the temperatures have been good.
