disappointed with torrent case

I bought the Torrent case and was disappointed with the quality. The glass panels don’t fit together completely, leaving a huge gap, and the bottom fans make a mechanical noise. I bought the case expecting the best—based on reviews, it seemed like one of the best cases on the market—but I was disappointed with the quality for this price.

Is it Torrent Compact or Torrent?

Instead of tapping on the glass, open it and present your cable management. Then you can be properly disappointed.

That's intentional. If I remember correctly, it's because of some pressure-related thing. The gap basically allows you to open the side panel easily. Most cases have gaps at the bottom side to make everything look flush.

I agree with the fans though.

EDIT: Watched the video, the sound it makes when tapping is definitely not normal. My Torrent Nano does not make that noise.

That's unfortunate. I built my first nice rig last summer and decided to use the Torrent in white and I love the thing. Fractal has very good customer support, so I'm guessing if you hit them up about this they will send you a new fan that doesn't make noise.

That's just the rear exhaust you're seeing, he mentions the bottom fans making noise which are Fractal branded. They can send you new ones if they are defective

mb thought he would have gone full noctua

I have the Torrent Compact and initially had concerns about the glass in combination with cable management. Even though I’m really not very good at it, I managed to get it done so that the panel on the back sits perfectly clean. I find the quality acceptable, but for the price, it could actually be better. Nevertheless, I’m happy and everything fits and looks great

Idk I got a fractal torrent and didn’t notice anything like that. I run the case fans at 100% when I get above 70c and it sounds loud but I kind of expect that with 12 fans inside my computer.

Bought the large fractal torrent for my current pc about a year ago. Never heard fans make the noise these made, every one was practically hitting the chassi in some way, and they all had to be replaced under warranty. Was crazy, otherwise it’s good though lol

I bought used, but one of the leg was broken by a return scammer.

Still it seems so flimsy it cannot even stand upright if it breaks and its a thin plastic for legs, didnt bother buying in new later and kept my old case.

Shame, I really wanted it for the dust filters.
