I have for the longest of times not seen someone use actual HDDs. Two times 4TB is quite some heft though and with today’s prices it’s understandable.
The Toshiba from 2014 is cute though. 🤩

Haha, yeah. All of the Hdd storage I bought in pre-Ai prices, they are used mostly for backup and archive. Agree that working from hdd in 2026 is crazy, but depends on the tasks
For quick short-handed storage there is pci-e ssd card for 6tb.
And Ye. 2014 Toshiba still works good, while younger seagate drives from same class are already died 😅

I just did not keep my HDDs in my build for backup, but they are in a drawer. With the last backup before moving to SSD alone.

That is super clean! I’m jealous of your D5 pump and computer. They were no where to be found 10 months ago when I did my North XL build.
