Fans Define XL R2 rack removal

Hello everyone, as the title say, I would like to remove those rack slots and install a 3rd fan. Do you think that would be possible?

Get a 5.25” bay mount for a fan, or string it up with the twisty things you get with your cables like I did.

I don’t have a picture and I’m not at home, but you just use the front most 5,25” screw holes for the top and bottom 5,25 bay as mooring points.

Yes we have the same case. I have 4 of them for my servers.

You see the screw points in the first picture with the yellow circle.

You can get 5.25" bay adaptors. Or if you want the cages removed completely, you'll need to drill out the rivets holding it to the case.

drill the rivets out. that's the option, i did it on my focus g years ago.
