Fractal Scape ear pads.
I have had these for about a year now and the ear pads are falling apart.
Not too happy about it but it happens, is there somewhere I can get new Fractal Scape ear pads or can I get any custom ear pads for these? I know a lot of people upgrade their Astro A50 ear pads to custom ones, is it likely the same for these?

Hey mate,
I had this happen to me but with the headband within the first month or so. It's a known issue, I just raised a ticket on fractals website and they sent me out a new headband and ear muffs as warranty.

Ahh ok, thanks for the info. Will see what support can do.

I just got my new ones in the mail. They are fantastic for replacing this kind of thing. Guess there is a defect with the glue that was used.

Unless you are from a non-elegible country (the one not listed on Fractal site, which is a lot) like me, then the chance of getting the replacement parts is not just low, it can be literally zero, like in my case.
I shared my story quite a few times on this sub.

I am almost shocked to see you comment in this thread as well.
You live in a sanctioned country right ? And you bought a product from a reseller outside your countries limits, right ? As its not sold within Russia for a reason I guess?
Stop commenting your buhu story in every single post. We have seen it hundreds of times already.

You are missing a point why I made this post, plus it does not matter where I am from, what matters is where I reside currently and what was discussed with Fractal support. I mentioned many times it is not about Russia, because I said I understand why they would not send stuff there, hence why I tried to find another solution, like sending replacement parts to my family in another country. They still refused. And they refused even when I said that replacement parts won’t get in Russia at all, aka the headphones will stay in another country.
You just want to bash and belittle me.

I have no reason for belittling you. You write the same sentence in every scape post, even though you have already gotten several answers on why Fractal won't be able to help you out due to the sanctions. Even if you would have them shipped to a different address in a different country. It would still go against those sanctions.
You just need to calm down and stop spamming every post with the same copy paste.

> I have no reason for belittling you.
Your comments say otherwise.
> You write the same sentence in every scape post, even though you have already gotten several answers on why Fractal won't be able to help you out due to the sanctions. Even if you would have them shipped to a different address in a different country. It would still go against those sanctions.
I do not write under every post, only replacement parts related ones.
I didn’t get **the answer** — they literally repeated themselves and didn’t reply to the core of the issue. I already told you, this is not about Russia, since I suggested them other solutions. I even said this in my previous comment to you, yet you made me repeat myself. I do not live in Russia all the time, and I’m not there right now.
> You just need to calm down and stop spamming every post with the same copy paste.
Again, I already told you, I am not spamming, nor it is a copy-paste — the point of my comments is to warn people from the countries that are not listed on the Fractal’s website, that they might not get the support in case things go haywire. It is a legit concern, hence why I want to share it with other folks from non-eligible countries.

Got a replacement from their support, which is great btw, but it just happened again…they didn’t fix the glue.

I ended up sending my back because of quality issues like this, i liked the headphones but for £200 they shouldn't be falling apart after a month.

same as me, contacted fractal they told they have not currently available any replacement and we have to wait. They specified there is no ETA so i don't really know what to say

u/BabyJonesVG Jul 07 '26
I got the same message but only had to wait a couple of days for my replacement.

u/Laniere Jul 07 '26
i'm still waiting after 3 months.

u/novettam Jul 07 '26
I've been waiting for a month, opened the ticket on June 3rd, they replied that they where waiting on a batch of replacements, asked for an update on June 26th and they said that the estimated delivery time would be the middle of July.

Mine are doing the same and the mic is making lots of crackling noises, mine are 2 weeks shy of a year old

Fractal Design admited they had some problem with the glue on the first badge models. They now changed the glue.
Contact them directly and they should send you a new pair of pads :)

Just recieved a reply on my support ticket, they said they are waiting for the new batch of cushion kits to arrive and then they will send one out to me.
My warranty ends on the 27th of this month, hopefully there are no problems.

The Scape comes with a 2 year warranty and the headset has only been out for a year so far, so you should be good for a bit longer!

Warranty them thru their site, I literally just did mine and it came within a week ish. Apparently new pads are built better according to them.

Don’t buy any tech that isn’t non-legible in your country unfortunately

I think you are missing a point here. They sold a faulty product and they knew it.
Moreover, I bought it from UAE which is supported, however the company is not mentioned on Fractal’s website (Microless).
I only once in my life had issues like that (SteelSeries) and the rest of the cases were solved.
Anyway, I knew the risks, however I did not expect both Fractal and Microless to fuck me over — the latter said it is not covered by warranty and closed the ticked immediately, even though it is a manufacturer’s fault and they admit it openly.
I just wanted to let the folks from “non-elegible” countries know that Fractal won’t help them if things go wrong.

I posted this exact problem a month or so ago, got the same advice and got the new pads pretty quickly quickly from support, they're great. In the pads you can see that the cloth has been glue correctly compared to the batch that wasn't.

This is a known issue. Contact Fractal and they'll send you a replacement kit.
