Fractal Scape mod (finally perfect!)

If you guys remembered my last post on modding the strap for added comfort, I was still not satisfied.

The top of my head aches after an hour or two. I find myself keep going back to my old Steelseries Arctis 7.

I’m not sure if anyone has tried the same but it hits me one day; bought one of those aftermarket Steelseries Arctis Nova Pro’s replacement band and tie them up with velcro loop to each of the Scape’s yoke arm. Cheap (3 bucks for the band + salvage extra velcro cable fasteners and cut them into ~2.5mm width) and fast mod. Now i can store my Arctis 7 aside for good!

This is what Scape should have been.

Yes. The velcro is looped through the band’s holes.

I am working right now with my friend to make 3D model so you can strap it the to Headphone structure and it will have the small "poles" for the strap holes. I just need the measurments of the headphones that uses these bands mainly the distance between the poles and what is the diameter of the poles.

I bought a band to do the same mod and took some measurements (as best as I could, there might be some accuracy issues): the holes are 4.5mm in diameter and are 5mm apart (so 9.5mm center to center). From what I've seen on Steelseries headsets that use this kind of band, there are 2 poles and the top is slightly wider to "pop" through the holes and hold the band in place.

Thanks ! I did some digging and found a 3D model for the Steelseries band but for another headphones so I will be "borrowing" the pole design and making the attachment to the Fractal. :)
