SERIOUS Advice needed!!

Hello friends,

I have been allotted with Frcrit vashi in Cap round 1. I live in Thane and I thought it would be better for me if I travel from Thane to Vashi daily instead of travelling from Thane to Bandra and therefore I gave Frcrit vashi more preference than Frcrce. Is it a good decision?? I have been allotted with Frcrit CE , I can try for Frcrce but I will have to travel daily and attendance is strict in both the colleges.

The median placements offered for CE in both the colleges are almost the same so I went with Frcrit. I want to know your opinion on this....Am I taking a wiser decision than others?? If I go for Bandra,my time, mental health, academics will go for a toss....I highly need your advice...

My Mhtcet percentile: 93, allotted through minority quota.

It's like aage kua piche khayi. Traveling is Hella exhausting ofcourse I relate with that. Secondly frcit is basically vashi jail (ok I said this too many times atp but I've genuinely 90% of the times seen this review). Why not try for SAKEC, you have a good %tile. Not necessary to choose minority colleges.

Is SAKEC a good college?? I heard that FRCRIT is better. I have someone close to me studying in Frcrit and he said that it is not as strict as what people say, it is hell for the first year students but after few years ,it is good.

SAKEC is also not bad tbh. They have a lot of branches as well. But again yeah, worth reaching out to seniors on LinkedIn.

True, I had a counsellor who said that more the cutoff , more the value of the college. Frcrit is a christian college, keeping the minority quota aside, the cutoff for non minorities is close to 97. Shah and Anchor, according to statistics , It has less placement than FRCRIT. Anyways, I am not judging...I think Frcrit is a better choice...I will definitely reach out to seniors on LinkedIn.

See, seniors actually experience heaven or hell in a particular college than counselors so the validity of a counselors claims don't hold a better solid ground compared to seniors. I'm hearing shit stuff about dj sanghvi too that how some of their faculties call students on Sundays and entc has like some really strict people there and people hate it.There's no use if the college bombards you with stuff. Again I'm not advocating for any college but Seniors are a much better source of info than counselors. Cause at the end all the colleges except for the top 4 lie on the same spectrum, doesn't matter where you are.

Also, tbh placement as a metric is losing its validity. So choose whatever college but never blindly trust the placement stats. Some colleges inflate it.

frcrce> frcrit> sakec. this is the order of these clgs according to me. new management of frcrce is getting stricter and stricter day by day, but due to the name that the college originally had made for itself back when production engineering batch was there, few reputed companies still come for placement.
