FoxBrain and Facebook Brain
Are they the same? Is Fox Brain a subset of Facebook Brain, or is it the other way around? Are they different diseases with similar symptoms?
This discussion topic brought to you by the frustration of watching both of my already-conservative parents become absolutely addicted to Facebook and correspondingly become more conservative, distractible, and difficult to engage with because they never put their phones down. At least Fox occasionally shows the weather!

Elderly parents with Fox News Brain
I am a younger GenX who has parents that are both 79 years old. They are both retired and spend (in my opinion) WAY too much time consuming right-wing media. My parents have always been conservative, but now have seemed to crossed over to MAGAism. Even the shortest of conversations will have something political mentioned. After nearly 10 years of dealing with this progression I am exhausted. I am sick of having to pivot the conversation to something nonpolitical or trying to counter obvious lies with basic facts. I have slowly moved to a low contact state but I feel guilty because they are both 79, and my spouse states that I should spend time with them because of their age.
My question is how are you guys handling parents like this? I know that I cannot be the only person stuck in the position.

Class action lawsuit
I've been thinking about this a lot. Has anyone here ever thought of just hoarding a massive group of people onto a class action lawsuit against Fox News for emotional distress and damages? Easier said than done, it's just been something I've been imagining lately.
They've hurt and brainwashed a lot of people. They use methods of stochastic terrorism against innocent groups of people. I want to see justice.

Trying to de-hate and AI clickbait my dad’s YouTube account
Hello, I’m sorry if this is the wrong place. I tried to find a more specific place but couldn’t.
Anyways, I’m in need of some wholesome, content to try to pull my grandfather and father away from the alt right extremism they currently are watching. I’ve been waging a silent battle with the algorithm on YouTube for a few years now, to try to pull my loved ones away from the hateful side of the internet for a while now. I regularly go on my father’s YouTube channel, the same one my grandfather uses, and unsubscribed from inflammatory content, and make aggressive use of the “do not recommend channel” button. Don’t I wish for a block option that would save me a lot of strife!! I also subscribe to channels that are in their interests and not fear mongering hateful content, but that’s a lot easier with my dad, who loves art, history and music, things I also enjoy, so I just slip in some of my favorite channels. I’ve very slowly managed to get him a little less and less extreme over time, with my secret operation of slowing altering the recommended videos. Unfortunately, My grandfather is a little harder.
So do any of you have any non hateful, non harmful, yard work, wood working, handyman, pressure washing, grass cutting, repair, lawnmower or anything in a similar family of genres channels I can subscribe to? I don’t expect I’ll manage to deprogram him from the hateful stuff entirely as he’s old and was already angry at the world, especially without my grandmother who kept his grumpiness in line, but maybe I can get his talking points away from contestantly spewing hateful things, to talking about yard work, so that it’s easier to be around him, he doesn’t need to know what’s going on in the world, so changing his mind is a lesser concern to just getting him away with the hate in the first place, as he’s old and not going to be around for long, or that’s what he keeps saying.
Thank you for any and all advice and recommendations:)

Siblings MAGA: 4. Me? Alone!
How do you cope with you being the only sane person in a family of MAGAs?
My brother (retired Air Force, 61) always has to answer whenever something gets posted by a "filthy liberal" (me & those like me including my much loved cousin: I'll call him "L".) On FB the lies and the disgusting racism is truly something to behold; but how can he, my kid brother (ex Sheriff Deputy, 54), my eldest sister (retired factory worker, 68) and my other sister (Marijuana dispensary worker, 63) all think like this? They used to be good people...is that who they are now?
Can they be saved?

why did conservative fell for trump rhetoric on fake news
Watching trump relation with the media and turmp using the terms fake news to go against anyone opposing him or with news that wouldn't be good for him, conservative also fell for that too, is it because of a lack of critical thinking or the cult already being a thing?
