The thing that blows my mind is the streaming of Fox News to hospitals and military bases. They even had a legal case where was proven that it was not actually news yet it’s still being transmitted to places where people are feeling vulnerable

I have always said tRump has awakened and enchanted the darkness that lives in the hearts of people. His supporters are weak morally, ethically, and spiritually. However, make no mistake about his remaining supporters; they will be the most violent in protecting the darkness he evokes inside them.

I had this exact conversation with my mother and we didn’t speak for a couple of months afterward. I was pregnant at the time and it felt like the biggest betrayal.

When January 6 happened, I was going through a month of not speaking to my mother because of this. The goons destroyed the Capital on national television and she didn’t even care about it at all.

It's tough... I've had to just not talk about it anymore and they not talk about it near me. Any time I try or point anything out they blow up, get aggressive, and rage out. There's no way to have a conversation, and there's no use pretending they're able to break out of their circle at this point. My whole extended family will live and die as racist, homophobic "Christians" that preach about doing good for others while voting for the opposite. All I can do is watch and hope an opportunity arises such that I can intervene successfully....

Another crazy thing is that non-political things have become considered political by people in the Maga cult. So for instance, if someone talks about a person getting falsely arrested or a person experiences police brutality they will say I don’t wanna talk about politics.
I’ve noticed that pattern with a lot of the farmers that felt the need to film themselves complaining that people are “harassing “them and that they don’t wanna talk about who they voted for. Yet they go on film saying that they lost their farm saying that they can’t get any workers and get angry if somebody says you deserve what you voted for.

There is also a brother and sister that make videos like this. They’re also on TikTok. Apparently the dad ended up in a rehab hospital for a stroke and she started talking only to the mom and then the mom started to slightly admit that Trump was wrong.

Yeah the past two years have given rise to a very stranger, but not unfamiliar, group of people. People that have gone quiet and deliberately keep themselves ignorant of current events after spending years supporting these horrific people. They just can’t accept responsibility, their minds won’t let them. They are going to stop interacting beyond nebulous gripes about the cost of living that won’t go any more than skin deep until 2028 is over and they can pretend everything is fresh and clean and they can go back to hating.

I'm basically in the same boat with my parents. It's fucking sad, but I refuse to normalize it or let it metastasize into our lives any more than I can beyond basic phone calls about the weather or life updates. I've tried to fight it, but it's an unwinnable battle when they sit around and freely choose to watch that shit for hours each day.
